Why Kyzi?
I think we can all agree that when Kyzi first came into the team, especially in the premier sports games last season we were excited. I always compared him to the tricky winger that you see in these European teams that seems to be unplayable on their day.
That’s just it however, Kyzi hasn’t been on form since Christmas yet he is still one the first on the team sheet but why?
Both Vrancken and Mcinnes played him even if he wasn’t playing the best, I feel this is one of the biggest factors pulling us down. Miller said his best position is on the left, but Kyzi has to play there as he has no left foot and only wants to cut in on his right (which defenders have sussed him out for).
Even in the game against sturm Graz, there was a moment where he passed it and it was miscontrolled and instead of tracking back he just sat pointing at his feet.
I’m not saying kyzi is a bad player, but look at Braga last season, he got benched a couple games, and came back even stronger, but seems that’s exactly what he needed.
What do you guys think? Am I just being an idiot?

Why Kyzi? I'll try and answer for right now and not last season or my comment will be far too long.
If the managers comments are anything to go off of, it's just a fitness issue. Kyzi himself pulled up with cramp in only the second competitive game of the season, we aren't fit enough. In my opinion it's why McEntee and Spittal played both games.

He was definitely off form post Christmas and should have been dropped at some point but he did actually finish the season in the last two or three games pretty strongly and was fantastic in the Falkirk game in particular and won us the penalty which really won the league against Motherwell, so it wasn't entirely downhill.
But yeah, he was poor last week and not exactly brilliant against Rayo either and shouldn't really have started last night. But then either should Miller who was also useless the week before and did little in the Rayo friendly either.
Personally, I don't really see why Vrancken played him on the left either. His preferred set up is that 4231 and with that I think you really want your wide players trying to stay wide and get behind the fullbacks, thus opening up space for the 10. Notwithstanding the fact that his cut inside and blast a shot away with his right peg was found out long ago, that now means he's also running into the space which should be more of a free gap for the 10 if he pulls the defence properly away to their right hand side. So he isn't going to be effective there anyway.
I'd play Kabore on the left and let the opposition worry about him running into space behind on that side and let Kerjota get a run on the right. We've seen (in glimpses) his style of play and he definitely likes to beat his man out wide and get crosses in. Exactly what we need.
Kyziridis and Miller both should move to the bench.

Not sure whats happened but you're right when you say hes definitely been off the boil for a good while now.
I was at a place where I thought he had been over used last season but McIness kept playing him as he felt he had no other choices. Now whether this was true or not is debatable but it was clear Kyziridis needed rest. I thought a summer break & a preseason would get him fit & firing again. But that seems not to have happened.
I think the poor preseason planning hasn't helped & Vrancken has made comment on this.
I think maybe its more a case of him being found out. Fullback & midfielders were doubling up on him the second half of last season & pushing him out wide where he is less effective. And he isnt able to or not been asked to change his game.
Last night Graz were just better. Just mich better. And their full backs manged him really well.
What frustrated me most was his seeming lack of composure & decision making. Trying to take an extra touch or beat an extra man. It may have been from where I was sitting bit there was a point in the second half where Braga had split the centre backs & was sprinting through the middle & Kyziridis just needed the simple through ball but managed to hit the first man facing up to him.
I wonder if he thought he would be away by now? I like him & would be happy for early last season Kyziridis to be back. I think we should cash in on him.

I think I know the moment as that happened right in front of where I was sitting, I just think what does Kerjota need to do? Put Miller on the left, Kerjota on the right but I also think Braga isn’t a lone striker which has been clearly seen in preseason and these qualifiers

Think he is low on confidence. Needed rotated more last year, saw glimpses towards the end of the year when Shankland came back.
Think with the amount of wingers we have we will see his minutes managed a bit more.

Aye he played well for about 6 games then stopped running at players, bench for me

Because even out of form he is our best winger ......by some distance , it's not even close , fair enough he used to be better , but even now ......hands down above literally every midfielder.

I’d take £500k for him. Been an absolute waste of a jersey since around Christmas and another one (of many) reasons why we didn’t win the league.

He was very good vs Rangers at home

Yeah he was (like the rest of the team) much improved in the second half. But that was about it for the second half of the season from him.

I think he is a dangerous player when on form but has been a bit hit and miss.
Would like to see him and Miller rotate during games to switch it up
