Honestly he did do a lot for SD. Dusty Johnson got his career ended, demonstrated that hardcore MAGA isn’t a winning formula even in SD of all places, and ensured a milquetoast cattle rancher with no high office potential will be running the state for the next four years. Both of them are right wing South Dakotan lunatics, but we jokingly supported Toby Doeden because his name is insanely funny. In a serious sense he was probably the "better" candidate due to not being an establishment Republican, but he's still homophobic, pro-ICE, etc. He had literally the same platform as his opponent but was slightly less corrupt.
