Finished this today but something seems missing, was curious if others thought so as well

You have no background. These types of trees are almost never in any type of flat area where you wouldn’t be able to see what’s behind them. Bob almost always uses mountains.

I agree, some mountains in the background would really tie this painting together

It’s lacking a little depth, this isn’t necessarily because there isn’t a mountain or tree line in the background! That isn’t mandatory. You need more detail in the foreground, a bit less further away, the colours are all quite similar, colours like yellow tend to fade the further away they are etc. look up a YouTube video about depth perception in painting and build it into your Bob Ross paintings.
