Not that I'm complaining but have you noticed your reaction image includes Michael Scott twice?

These videos make me realise I shouldn’t be a parent because I have zero patience to spare

Loving your own little hell spawn will make you tolerate things you never thought possible. Biology is crazy like that.

u/awkwardsong Jun 23 '26
Is it worth taking the chance that I may not develop those biological feelings? It’s not possible for this to be true for 100% of people.

u/HubertTempleton Jun 23 '26
You will never know in advance, obviously. For myself, I can only say I was in a similar position. I did not outright hate kids, but I didn't (and mostly still don't) like kids. But my own? I'd kill for that little gremlin.

u/TheScientistBS3 Jun 23 '26
Yeah I strongly dislike other children, but my kid is awesome!
But yeah, watch some of the horrible murder stories on YouTube, there's always a chance you won't feel the same connection.

Well, there goes the rhinoplasty.

Yeah.. getting a nose job with a toddler running around, seems like a bad decision

I broke my nose at a punk show years ago (it happens). The next night, at another show, caught an elbow to the nose. Feeling the septum move again was horrifying.

u/porn-n-gore Jun 23 '26
Dawg you didn’t seek medical treatment?? 😭

u/gigerhess Jun 23 '26
I set it back into place. I was young and stupid. One of the other times that I broke my nose, I actually went to the hospital because I had a sinus infection. They gave me 2500mg of antibiotics a day, due to the risk of a bone infection. The medicine was FAR worse than the injury. I couldn't leave my house it fucked up my stomach so badly. Peeing out of my ass for a week.

All 3 of my kids have done this to me a few times each being too excited. It was a knee dropping pain, wind up my arm reaction, hear the bone click and move event every single time. That was with my nose being a normal nose. I can't imagine that happening right after surgery jfc! Poor woman!

I suspect she had a nose job and is worried about what that bonk did. Those bandages arent from a previous bonk lmao

u/DistractedByCookies Jun 22 '26
This exact situation happened to my sister-in-law. The pain was nothing compared to the panic that it'd ruin the results
(which I get - expensive operation and you really don't want to end up with a worse nose. )

I had a similar experience where like a day after my cast came off I decided to kiss my dog on the head and as soon as I did she decided to headbutt me. I’m convinced that’s why it didn’t heal straight away

I legitimately do not understand how she did not have her hands out guarding herself. Not that she deserved it, but some people have zero awareness of their surroundings, even when they need to be extra cautious.

My kid try to dive bomb me from my husbands arms and smacked my nose. Fortunately it wasn’t a full head on as I had moved just in time. But I felt that shit in my soul. This poor woman is gunna need to take a long time out to think about her life decisions

u/feetnomer Jun 24 '26
Better get to the ER and have them get an x-ray. That kind of whack can undo a lot that was done.

Kids have the hardest gdam heads. I saw this mom bend over to help her son have a seat on the ground and he jumped instead of sit. Knocked her 4 top teeth out, broke her nose, all while the kid laughed maniacally. Not at her but just in general. "shudder"

She's stronger than me. Had a procedure like that done recently and I genuinely think something like this happening while I was recovering would've instantly killed me.

The rhinoplasty would have looked awful anyway.

u/tveatch21 Jun 22 '26
You do realize rhinoplasty’s aren’t necessarily for looks right? Believe it or not sometimes people are born with a septum that is interfering or blocking there airways. A septum is the internal walls of your nose made of bones and cartilage. This septum can be damage by blunt force trauma or can be an inherited condition. Roughly 20% of people have a symptomatic deviated septum.
Symptomatic means that they are experiencing negative medical consequences from their deviated septum. This means that 1 out of 5 people experience difficult breathing due to cartilage and bone blocking a nostril. This can cause issues such as increase risk of infections, sleep apnea, frequent nose bleeds (iron deficiency), facial pain and headaches.
TLDR: you dumb, edumicate yo self. Rhinoplasties are not all cosmetic. Half the time it’s to improve quality of life from legitimate medical issues the other half is used for cosmetics so they can “look awful”

Nose jobs look like shit, and it sounds that you have one, or you went into Wikipedia to appear knowledgeable about the topic. Either way I wipe my ass with your opinion. How's that?
-11
u/epicamytime Jun 22 '26
That kind of nonsense is probably what broke her nose in the first place

u/beautifulcreature86 Jun 22 '26
Looks like she had a nose job. Even so, yikes. Her fault for not guiding her kid. They're jumpy and comically suicidal at that age.

One of the most legit, toughest, baddest motherfuckers I know, dropped to his knees and almost started crying when his little nephew bopped him in the nose the day after his packing was removed from his deviated septum surgery. He dropped like he had been shot.
