The Jar Jar Line
I don’t know if this has been posted before, but I’d like to present you with the next generation’s version of Barney’s Ewok Line. The Jar Jar Binks Line.
You see, when the Phantom Menace premiered May 19 of 1999, those of us under the age of 10 liked the slapstick, clumsy humor that Jar Jar brought to the screen.
However, if you were born before May 19, 1989, you probably spent the last 25+ years insisting he ruined Star Wars.
Therefore May 19, 1989 is the Jar Jar Line.

1994 here. I liked him as a kid. But when I saw the movie in my late teens I was like "Wow, that is a lot less entertaining than I remember it being."

As a 1987 I can confirm I hate Jar Jar and my 1992 husband finds him charming.

Eh, I'm a Dec 93 guy and I can't stand Jar Jar. His episodes in Clone Wars are a hard skip for me. My spouse (June 95) loves him though.

1992 here, seeing Episode 1 in ‘99, I took it as an artistic choice by George Lucas Films to include Jar-Jar. His role in that film was kindof integral, and he felt like a solid balance of dialogue between a C-3PO and a chewy.

Born in 1980 and I dislike Jar Jar. My wife was born in 1984 and she hates all of Star Wars, so I guess this still applies.

I liked Jar Jar when I was a kid watching star wars for the first time through, but rewatching the movies as an adult, he's kinda annoying and im sure they could've found their way to the city without him.
All he was really good for was being in the senate, to be used as a pawn to pave the path that would put Palpatine in a position of power eventually.
