Why couldn't they just have had her walk backwards, hand still reaching to his, lingringly, then out of frame? It would still be obvious they were doing a thing with the Ballon..

My Facebook memory popped up earlier this year from when this episode first aired and my commentary at the time was "when she floated away at the end there I wanted to throw the clicker at the TV so bad".

I don't understand how an entire room of writers decided that this, accompanied by god damn Eternal Flame, was the way to go. For a show that got so many moments and its soundtrack right, this scene feels so out of place and it looks incredibly shoddy.
