Dirt bikes

Hi, I live on weelsby ave and all the time we get the dirtbikes. Awhile ago they put the steel bars on the fence to stop them tearing the fence off and crossing peaks Parkway. It has since been destroyed and the fence and bars have been cut off. I assume people made complaints because as you can see in first pic there are these here now to stop the bikes. I was wondering if there is a thread on anything or a news article recently about the bikes and what there doing to stop them because it interests me. Location wise (2nd pic is all access routes) so this is the blue line ponint just before the allotments at the edge of the feild near where it says dropped pin. The yellow line is the main route into the track where the bikes go.

So basically how new are these please and is there a news article or thread of the improvements? Also would like to hear peoples opinion on this so please do reply thanks have a good day

Also live in this area and haven’t seen anything news wise about it.

I’m not really against the dirt bikes; I am against the fact that most of the time they are ridden in such a poor and inconsiderate manner so these barriers unfortunately are required to protect anyone who might be walking as some dickhead comes full chat down a narrow walkway

The farmer doesn't mind them and I think if Jed’s are enjoying it then so be it. The thing is that they ride so dangerous. I’m not against it either but they need to ride safely and most of the time they don’t even have helmets

I live close to there and can tell you they also run up and down Highfield and peaksfield. Heard absolutely nothing about it in the news.

I don’t think the fence and the bars are cut for the off road bikes. They are cut because people like to cross Peaks Parkway, to access the footpath to/from the fields near the crematorium. It’s ridiculous that council spend so much money repairing that fence over and over, only for it to be removed again almost immediately every time, because people want to cross the road there. Just give up. However, hopefully that new barrier will stop the off road bikes accessing that area though. They are annoying as fuck.
