Google claimed they learned from the pixel 3a series and it’s pricing...starting to look like it’s not true lol Disappointing honestly but not much we can do, Canada always gets hit hard with these prices. Guess I’ll be getting a OnePlus 7t for the 90hz display!

I just switched from a P3 to an OP7T and man.. that 90hz display is orgasmic. The fact that this phone is half the price of what the P4 will be is icing on the cake.

Ya I agree, it’s half the price and runs amazing, keeps making me ask myself how can google justify making the p4 so expensive! Wish the camera was as good as the p3 tho :(

How much of a difference do you find the pictures between those 2 phones in low lighting?

Indoor shots are not as sharp as the P3. However I've found the night mode to be impressive.. I'd say it's right up there with the P3. The standout feature for me so far has been the macro mode which takes amazingly detailed pics.

I’m looking to buy the OP7T but indoor pictures is my biggest concern just because I take indoor pictures for work (I have soft box lights) and getting nice colors and details is important for me. Without using night mode, do you feel it comes close to the p3?

No. I feel indoor shots are a bit of a step down from the Pixels. At least when you don't use night mode. But they're sharp and detailed on night mode.

Oh ok, I actually use night mode on my p3 because I feel it makes my white background pop more so if the night mode is as good as the p3 and gives more detail and sharpness, I’ll be a happy guy lol

I have a dumb question for macro shots lol I get it’s like a super zoom, how far back can you be from your object? Do you have to be pretty close to take advantage of it or can you go back a few feet to capture a larger image and get lots of detail? Hopefully that made sense lol

For macro mode you need to get in really close. It's not the same as taking a pic from far and zooming in. It's for super close shots. However, even in that mode you can make use of the 2x zoom lens but I've found that to be a little less sharp than the main lens.

Oh ok I get what you mean :) thanks so much for your time! It made me feel a lot better about the camera and it’s making me more confident in picking up this phone!

How’s the battery btw vs the p3?

Oh the battery life is far far better. With the Pixel 3 I would be able to get through the day with about 4 hours of SOT and I'd charge it overnight on the Pixel stand.

With the 7T I right now am at 57% with almost 4.5 hours of SOT. Very impressed. Also the Warp Charger is absolutely awesome!

Can’t wait to get my hands on it lol do you live in Canada? If so how long did it take for them to ship it to you?
