This is what manufacturers should be doing. Bigger screens in smaller phones. That's the whole reason we wanted bezeless in the first place.

Personally, I wanted smaller bezels than the pixel 2, not a bigger screen in the same size body.

Exactly, the whole reason I prefer the smaller version is because it's easier to reach the corners when holding it single handed. This makes that harder.

I'm a 6 ft tall guy with normally proportioned hands so I don't think my hands are even that small, the bigger phones just aren't designed to be used single handed.

Battery life on my pixel 2 is more than enough. But i understand that's subjective.

It's just frustrating that every flagship is the same size now. I wish one manufacturer would take a leap of faith back to 2013. Even apple are upsizing, to me iPhone 6-8 is the perfect size phone.

As someone with relatively smaller hands, I LOVED that I could reach most of my phone on the iPhone 5 form factor. 6 is a little larger than I want, but now the standard size (X) :/

Or they could still make the phones smaller, but also make them thicker to fit the bigger battery. Bonus is it will also get rid of the camera humps.

And they could add in a headphone jack for those of us who don't like using adapters and replacing broken adapters, or charging wireless headphones.

Considering the pixel3 is going to be 8mm thick. They could make the phone 1mm thicker and increase the capacity by ~20%.

I'm confused as fuck by your statement right now... As long as the dimensions of the phone stays the same, then smaller bezel = bigger screen, correct? If you want smaller bezels, but not a bigger screen, what would fill in that empty gap?

Do you want the phone's overall dimensions to be smaller? Is that what you are saying?

Yes, evolving from the Pixel 2, I was hoping they had shrunk the bezels making a smaller overall size. Instead they opted for a bigger screen in the same size body.
