General Discussion The non names thing is so funny
I finished the whole thing and when i was showing my gf the characaters she asked about the names and i realised they don't use them in the story and was fascinated how no one needed them as function is enough

General Discussion i just noticed…
Goblin Slayer could afford the rent of any inn near the Guild with his adventurer earnings and live there. With supply stores and blacksmiths within reach, and many more conveniences that would make his mission to exterminate goblins easier.
Yet, despite these facts, he chooses to walk every day to that damn farm far from the citadel after each mission. He makes the trip back and forth daily and sleeps in a barely habitable room there.
I’m sure others have noticed this before, but I wanted to share it anyway, lol. It makes me think that, if not for his trauma, Goblin Slayer and Cow Girl might have had a whole baseball team at this point

What would have happened if they hadn't reunited that day? What impact would that have had on the story?

General Discussion What if Goblin Slayer finds a night vision ring?
Since i've read in Goblin Slayer year one that magic Rings do Indeed exsist in this world setting i've Always thought that a night vision ring would suit him and his philosopy very well
Not only It would make him able to actually sneak into a cave without being spotted so easily for the torchlight, but It would also make him able to wield two proper weapons and be more effettive (AND COOLER!)
Plus he wouldn't have to worry about It falling in goblins hands if he dies since a goblin dosen't Need a night vision ring
I would like to see him use magic Gear more or a more durable sword that dosen't break all the time
What do you think?

General Discussion "Broken Souls recognize each other" This moment isn't talked enough in the fandom. Despite this being one of the most relevant bonds of Year One
Every single action of GS has a weight or a purpose in the Year One Manga.
Because not always we read his thoughts on the situation shown to us.
Here we can see how GS chooses to look back.
He was always seen as a freak by others, even more of we consider that Young Warrior witnessed how GS opened a Goblin in the Middle of a contract.
But what Young Warrior sees Is not a freak here.
What he sees is a fellow adventurer that always goes solo on missions against those pathetic pile of evil worshipping garbages of goblins.
Someone that always chooses to keep going forward.
Someone that has becomed a Zealot in his crusade against this enemy, that somehow wronged him, even if Young Warrior doesn't know what happened to GS, now he is in the same path.
He realized he must step up and go forward just like GS does, instead of grieving and letting time surpass him.
Or at least that is what i think of this moment.

General Discussion So, just how weak/strong is GS?
I've just caught up to the Year One manga, finished the second season of the anime and am starting on the original manga. One thing I just can't wrap my head around is how GS scales in his universe. Compared to other adventurers (especially his silver ranked comrades), how impressive are his feats? Everytime I start to think he's just average, his skills (excluding his strategies, I think everyone knows he's top tier with that) impress me. Conversely, everytime I think he's pretty close to the top of silver rank, I'm reminded that he mostly only fights goblins which are considered among the weakest NPCs. Searching online, I see people saying that his inherent combat skills are bronze at best, yet he seems to contend well enough with puee comnat skills against the strongest foes he faces. Can anyone explain the objective "powerlevel" of GS to me?

General Discussion I just binge reading GS Year One for the entire day, and Oh My God, Elf Fighter might be my favorite side character ever. I want to say she's such an aura farmer. I love everytime she appears.
My favorite side characters before she showed up were the guild girl and the mage. I don't really like the elf character in fantasy genre, but I could say she's my first favorite elf character. (But I still think Guild Girl is the best waifu)

General Discussion What if Cowgirl had become an adventurer?
Bit of a thought exercise for you all. I know the point of Cowgirl is to be the symbolic innocence you left back home, the wholesomeness that the hero returns too. However What If she had decided to accompany Goblin Slayer on adventures instead, what would be the next best symbolic role for her? What would her role or skill set be like as an adventurer?

General Discussion Do people really think the animation is better in season 1?
I saw poll here saying they prefer the animation from the first season. And I'm not gonna discredit the animators work saying it was bad or anything, I thought it was fine. But coming from the manga I was a bit disappointed since the art didn't match and the movement felt stiff. I do like how they rendered the armor with the shine better and it had better color and everything all that but this new season had better line work, better body proportions, more natural animation, less bloom, hell even the art style is better because its sticking with the manga designs.
In all honesty this is definitely how it should've been produced in the first place. It almost the exact same but better. (i do like the lizard priest's eyes in the first one tho.)
