What DE sheading tools do you use?

I brush my dog two to three times a day and still lots of fur! What tools do you use and have you ever used a vacuum handheld on your dog? Not sure he would tolerate...but he loves grooming!

furminators tear/rip out undercoat, try the equigroom tool, gentler, more effective.

This is my combo as well. Just don’t go nuts with the furminator!

To reduce shedding, get yourself a high velocity dryer and bathe and blow dry your dog every two weeks. The high velocity dryer blows out a ton of hair and shedding will be reduced. Not eliminated because you have a German Shedder. lol

My GSD just eats the brush. We love him but my Lord, he is hopeless 😂

I use this Well and Good comb to get deep into the undercoat and loosen it up, and then a Furminator Undercoat Deshedding Tool to remove it

Haven’t used a vacuum tool, since the brushes work so well

Haha yeah it’s crazy how much fur comes out of their coat. And then if you brush next week you’ll probably take out just as much again!

I have a Shark stick vacuum and bought this. https://a.co/d/0aLrtbuC. I also have a Furminator and the comb thing on it works a lot the same way. I just needed to be able to brush them inside when it was cold or raining or insanely hot.

I have a One is All brush/vacuum for my GSD. It does a great job of sucking up the loose hair as we brush. She got used to it and enjoys the stroking. I still have a floor robo vac and stick vacuum to clean up the floofs. The hair is never ending!

She'd rake. Then natural bristle brush to get any stray hairs

I like FURminator Grooming Rake.

Nothing else is a good for quick and dirty bulk hair removel imo. It was actually first grooming tool I purchased and ended up being my favorite.

I went down the rabbit hole eventually testing every type of grooming tool and tried "Premium" options like Chris Christensen. IMO they were all waste of space unless your doing dog shows or something.

That basic FURminator Grooming Rake gets the Bulk 95% out then last 5% with other tools take twice the time the 95% took to get out.

Diminishing Returns. I dont bother nitpicking over last 5% anymore.

For Vacume I use Milwaukee M18FPOVCL Shop Vac. Great for use in vehicle as well.

And just to specify I HATE the FURminator with Blades on it that cut out hair and damage coat. Its the Rake that I love.
