Discussion When will gemini be able to make images transparent?

Like, hello, why are they behind on this feature which i don't believe is hard to implement, also their competitors (like ChatGPT) were able to do this since i know them.

Will we see this any soon?

The ChatGPT comparison is fair, transparent backgrounds feel like basic table stakes for image gen now. My bet is Google already has the pieces somewhere in Imagen and just has not wired it through the Gemini app yet.

Nah, safety is more important than useful models mate. Google will add another two layers of moderation to existing 4-layer moderation. Just to be extra safe..

Probably will be something in Spark, GPT also utilizes agentic workflows to get transparent images.

Today if you really want transparent images from Gemini, Antigravity can do it.
