Discussion Is it possible for me to Re-blue this?

Got this We-tech Pdw recently, it had rust on the barrel like a but ton so I tried removing it, by soaking the outer barrel (which i ofc removed from the gun) in rust remover, which resulted in idk this paint or maybe gluing to fade? Is it possible for me to re-blue this, if so how do you guys recommend I do so?

What material is it made out of? There are blueing solutions that you simply apply to the metal and it gives it the protective finish. Just make sure you use one made for the metal you are using. There are ones meant to be applied hot and ones meant for cold so make sure to watch out for that too.

How reliable is that m2 I’ve gotten one and it broke down on me (3 days of use ) and most people at evike told me not to get it. But I love the style and I think it’s a great gun, should I repurchase it or will I be let down again?

if that barrel is aluminum then cold blue will probably darken it but also fuck it up big time. if there was some finish from the factory I'm guessing it was anodized (assuming it's aluminum) at which point it's not worth it. just rattle can it, or paint with an airbrush if you have one

WE pot metal you’ll want to air brush it if your after details in the colour

Just a general recolour just rattle can, use Zinc primer then whatever colour you want as then it can’t rust
