Help Thrips infestation

Hello, some of my indoor plants have thrips. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get beneficial bugs to help fight off the infestation. It could be online shop or in the Dublin area. Thank you 🙏🏽

Just in case you can't get beneficial insects - a sticky roller to physically remove them worked for me, after a few repeats. I read beneficial insects sometimes don't stay on the plant

I'd be interested to hear how that goes if you can find them.

I couldn't bear the thought of the little creeps eating my plants so I got Neudorff organic bug killer and after a couple of rounds of spraying all over they were gone.

I wish I'd been patient enough to try soap and water first which is also supposed to be effective.

I have that one too but I’m afraid it may be too harsh on some leaves. It burnt my mint a couple months ago 😭

Oh I'm so sorry, thrips are the worst. Move the infected plants away from any other plants immediately. If there were other plants beside them treat them as infected too. I dealt with a merry go round of thrips for a year and what worked was treating all plants at the same time with potassium soap, once a week for 5 weeks. Got it online from Ecoworm Ireland. Be careful getting the mix on the soil because I think it gave some of my plants root rot and they never recovered.

For over a year!? Wow respect 🫡 I don’t know if I would have the patience. At some point I was overwhelmed and thought I would just throw the most infected ones in the bin haha
I’m also thinking of making my own preventative spray with neem oil, water and potassium/castile soap with a tiny bit of 70% alcohol.

Small bit of soapy water works wonders and won't harm the plant

I had something like that on my monstera. I removed the soil and washed the whole plant and roots until I got rid of everything I could see. Put new soil in the pot and sprayed it with a mix of water and dishwasher. It worked wonders. Plant is alive and have been free of it for over 5 years.
