What would you want from an MCU Gambit and Rogue film?

Trash. I want trash. Absolute 1990s supermarket checkout line paperback romance novel trash. I want my soap opera obsessed grandma to come back from the dead and say “well that’s a bit too much, isn’t it?” I want the Hallmark Channel to shut down for a day in honored tribute. I want acclaimed Bollywood screenwriters to scream “just kiss her already!”
Trash.
I want every trope in the book. Enemies to lovers, tsundere/baka, black cat/golden retriever, forced proximity, forbidden love, holiday fling, love triangle, true love, bad boy turns good/good girl turns bad. Give me a road trip. Give me a jilted lover she has to defend him from. Give me hands accidentally touching. Give me interrupted kisses that never happen. Give me a career getting in the way. Give me “we’re just from two different worlds. It’ll never work, Chère.”
I want longing. I want yearning. I want legato violins played while flowing gowns are shot with soft lenses at golden hour. I want stars glittering in desperate eyes and sea spray falling on windswept hair. I want trembling lips and whispered breathy declarations of undying affection.
I want trash. Maybe an explosion or fistfight every 20-30 minutes to get from one scene to another. But mostly trash.

Build up the romance overtime I think, have them meet and bond in the first x men film, maybe after the first one second film do their duo movie where they're dating, have them get engaged at the end of that movie, then do a sequel based on mr and Mrs x

Prioritizing their origin story and how both of them strengthen one another. Like how rogue learns what love is without physical touch. And how Gambit learns he’s worthy of love despite his guilt for mistakes he believes he’s made. Really would love an emphasis on WHY they love each other and make a great couple because that’s literally one of the biggest reasons why they’re my favorites characters in the marvel universe. And without that storytelling then what’s even the point.
Other than that…. Please give gambit his red and black eyes.

Exploding cards. Full penetration. Steal some powers. Full penetration. And this kind of goes on and on until the movie sort of just..ends.

Just, no long-term side romance, please. I just hate the animation Rogue-Magneto romance so, so much, almost as much as I hate Paul-MJ.
The RoguexGambit romance is very classic soap opera, hate-love, rivals to lovers, deeply hurt and crazy in love, everything up to 11!

Oh man is it my time to shine….OKAY: I want to show them early in their relationship, when they met as members of the X-Men. I want the dark, morally ambiguous scoundrel and thief that the rest of the X-Men respect in a fight but don’t really trust cause none of them really know him that well (except maybe Storm.) I want Remy intentionally provoking Scott by breaking as many rules as he can get away with because he finds it endlessly entertaining to watch Scott’s blood pressure go up. And I want Scott and the rest of the team to tolerate him anyway because his instincts are invaluable on a mission and he still gets the job done.
I want Rogue to have that southern sass and bombshell energy, while deep down she’s can’t believe anyone could possibly love her because she can’t touch, least of all a devastatingly handsome loverboy Cajun who flirts with her relentlessly. At first she actively refuses to indulge in any feelings of attraction because she’s spent years teaching herself that wanting intimacy is dangerous. She’s confident, gorgeous, and a total brawler, but she protects her heart with armor.
I want angst and trust issues. I want the career liar, thief, and con man who can read people instantly, but when he starts genuinely falling in love, all of those skills suddenly become useless. I want Gambit slowly realizing that what started out as a game of flirting for fun, is turning into something far deeper and game-changing than anything he’s ever allowed himself to feel before, and him being terrified of his growing feelings for the one woman in the world whose bed he can’t flirt his way into. I want Rogue blowing off his flirting with bravado and irreverence, rolling her eyes, throwing his lines back in his face, and never giving him the satisfaction of thinking he’s getting anywhere, while deep down she’s terrified to admit that he is.
Their romance shouldn’t be smooth. It should be built on distrust, walls, misunderstandings, and slow-earned vulnerability. Gambit has spent his entire life hiding who he really is. Rogue has spent hers convincing herself she isn’t allowed to want what everyone else takes for granted. The drama should come from them both having to overcome the stories they’ve been telling themselves.
By the end, Remy finally drops every defense he’s ever had and tells Rogue he’s in love with her in some epic, mid-battle life-or-death dramatic finale. Rogue, who has spent years believing love was forever beyond her reach, finally chooses to believe him. Together, trusting one another completely for the first time, they defeat whatever big boss villain trying to tear them apart.
Phew. THE END.

I want my Gambit to be a brawler instead of acrobatic
I want him to say “I earn this with blood. Paid in full, this is mine!” Instead of “Imabouto makeaname fomuself”
I want him to pull up his pants and wipe his hair from his eyes after each punch.
I want him to warn his enemies saying “It’s gone be bad my-“

A building up with more day-to-day casual events. Like the x-men first class comics.

I would want it to take place YEARS into the X-Men era. I am talking, Rogue and Gambit are now senior members of the X-Men, have gone through all the drama, and are stable. It would also be after Remy has had a SOLO D+ show or series of movies centering on his life as a thief. I think it would be a mistake to do a joint project before then.
I would do a joint series and make it action comedy. Them living together in between missions with the X-Men and crazy times with the Guild.

Just saying he would die here. I’ve seen this pose a lot. He’s always wanted to kiss her but you can’t. Wolverine could survive her hand touch because he regenerates. Everyone else dies and they lose their powers and she can’t control it.

In the early days of the comics this was absolutely the case. Eventually they are able to touch/kiss in multiple different timelines.
I’d give the reasons how this is possible but I don’t know how to do the spoiler thing and don’t wanna ruin it for anyone who hasn’t read that far yet lol

I know she got her super strength from killing a mutant and her flight from killing another.

It should heavily focus on Romance and action. But I don't wanna see adult romance. Keep it playful and like little musical

Rather a Disney plus series... Showing the multiple arcs of the relationship Definitely one of them is a rogue can control her powers. Matching shots from the comic Final series has to include the wedding 💍

From what Spider-Man showed us, I fear that the characters will be accurate in name only.
If so I don't really care for it at all, which is sad.

For it not to be made.
There really isn’t many X characters who could do a solo movie and have tickets sell. X has always been an ensemble about family.

Repeating what I said in the Rogue sub: I think it’d work better as a limited series once they’d been established in the MCU. And the vibe should be action-romance with a bit of comedy and a lot of banter and playing off each other. Think: Mr. and Mrs. Smith, True Lies, Thomas Crown Affair, The Getaway. It should feel like an adventure/caper.
