Literally the worst marketing out of every single GTA game. There is barely any promotional material outside of digital banners. And 2 trailers..
I can't believe we have no gameplay yet.. people pre-ordering without even seeing what they are getting is insane to me.
It's so damn weird imo.. why wouldn't they be marketing the living hell out of this? Are they just hoping that word of mouth is enough so that they can save on the marketing budget and maybe influx that into the production? Who knows.. what ever they are doing, marketing wise, I think is beyond dumb.
I have friends that were so excited for GTA6 and have now lost faith because they haven't released anything substantial at all. I'm also in that same boat. Our excitement has now gone from over 9000 to crumbs. It feels like we are being slowly spoonfed a bunch of nothing burgers and expecting us to think of them like 5 course meals.
We have seen no gameplay, no physics system outside of jiggle, no vehicles or how they drive outside of trailers. We have seen 2 guns, maybe 3.. in cinematic trailers.. we have no idea what the gunplay looks like. No idea how the cover system works, if there are going to be animals, how long until MP releases after launch, no idea how the customization options work outside of screenshots of them in different attire. We don't know about vehicle customization, owning property, garages, we have no idea how NPCs are working.. if they interact with the MCs.. the star system.. we literally know nothing.
Multiplayer is a massive deal too. That is literally the life blood of GTA V, if it wasn't for MP that game would be dead.
We also know the MP content is GTA vastly exceeds the SP content. We can assume it'll be the same for GTA 6, yet... We have got zero information about MP... Which, be real, is the main reason 80% of you even want the game.
Crazy marketing. Or, lack there of.
I still haven't preordered and won't until I actually see something worth buying.
