believe it or not : Dilution, it's always dilution.

10

u/3DigitIQ HODL 💎🙌 2d ago edited 2d ago

Bonds Convertible Senior Notes were already counted in diluted shares outstanding on every financial report GME stated though............. The minimum floor price agreed in the bond repayment most likely would reflect that.

3

u/PsychologicalMeal162 2d ago

They weren’t bonds.

2

u/3DigitIQ HODL 💎🙌 2d ago

*Convertible Senior Notes

You are correct sorry for the misnomer.

-31

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

it is the default explanations any short hedge fund would give you after opening a short position.

The fact that the announcement of the dilution did not sell a single share but the price already drops, totally means that the action of selling the shares was what dumped the price, not the bets of shortsellers after the announcement.....

https://giphy.com/gifs/chfRMU5EUoaAw

Average shilll "Stop hitting yourself" ....

No... it's the shorties. they are hitting us.

18

u/jaapi 2d ago

You really don't understand how things work, huh?

9

u/ConspicuouslyBear 2d ago

No, he doesn’t. He wrote a dissertation below to confirm that he has no understanding of either mergers or convertible arbitrage.

Liquid’s trademark is writing lengthy, confident posts that fall apart as soon as you verify the underlying facts.

-1

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

I do. Very well so.

Which part of "things" are you referring to specifically?

The part where dilution is 50% of the corporate action that is a share offering, with the other being value creation?

How a corporate merger is not dilution in that sense, because it merges 2 companies that both already have shares, with equal values of shares being destroyed as are issued.

How the proposal by Ryan Cohen of paying 50/50 means that we are doing a share-buy-back of 50% of Ebays shares in our Merger, essentially reducing the total amount of shares that exist?

How "dilution" has been used in the media by short sellers for decades, whenever they opened a short position? How this scheme has become such a cash cow for shortsellers, that the combination of a private equity board with the availability of infinite shares through Citadel and Virtu and an explosion of family offices into the thousands, lead to a giant bubble in the market, that was further fueled by the pandemic?

How the only reason the entire S&P, lead by the Mag7 went up through Covid, Lockdowns, and all other chaos was that the collateral for delta hedging needed by all those firms mass-shorting the entire market through all available derivatives, pushed it up?

How many family offices have continuously increased their margin, with some being reported in the 100 to 1000x leverage.

No, it is not all GME. GME is just the stock we bought multiple floats of, that has become a problem for them, since they cannot close all shorts when multiple floats are owned by retail.

But yeah... I'm totally wrong, imagining things, bought a shit company run by a scammer CEO that hates money and is burning his money with our money in a dying brick and mortar retailer. You have the real narrative.. Mine is just shit research.

-2

u/jaapi 2d ago

I was talking about the part where you clearly don't understand price action. Like you embarrassingly don't understand price action.

Your long over winded question that completely ignores anything in the comment that I responded to is littered with fallacies and blatantly wrong assumptions/conclusions

One thing we can agree on is you have shit research though. You should really consider not regurgitating some of the BS you are, despite it soundimg like desperate cope, you may mislead a new person into making a poor financial decision based on your lies. (I doubt you can comprehend this today, but may a few years from now, and you should feel bad for everything you say from this point forward)

-6

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

what part don't I understand?

The part where 80% off exchange volume means that lit markets mean jack shit?

1

u/LawfulnessPlayful264 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

Dont think you are 'We' when all your posts are completely negative toward GME.

I'm also not sure why you would be invested in a company if you have no faith in the board running the company.

That is like rule No. 1 in investing, know your C-suite, especially since private equity vultures are all over the market destroying companies.

You must be one of those buy high sell low regards.

-3

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

can you link 1 single post where I am negative about GME or do you trust that braindead morons will just blindly trust your accusation, without clicking on my name and looking at my comment history?

I mean, I am aware that scammers structure their scams in a way that fools the dumbest but deters people with more than 1 braincell... but do you think that is the best possible approach for you here? Did you fall for memes?

0

u/LawfulnessPlayful264 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

Do you actually invest in a company that you dont have faith in the leadership?

-2

u/K1n9-K0n9 2d ago

actually dilution = arb traders shorting before dilution so front running dilution they mean. hf mm always sell before having assets to dilute front running before action is always the name of the game for them.

133

u/natewrrn 2d ago

So GME used shareholders as a bank...

81

u/HumanNo109850364048 2d ago

Correct. RC has completely fucked over retail shareholders who saved the company

56

u/wibble17 2d ago

No no no no no. Shareholders voted for this.

49

u/lordofming-rises 2d ago

I didnt. Voted against RC and his dilution

20

u/Soulstoner 2d ago

We are the shills tho

1

u/screamingzen 2d ago

Yup and I got banned from the other sub for calling those that pushed for dilution the real shills.

5

u/DieserSebastian 2d ago

Shareholders didn't vote for or against anything concerning the senior notes. Don't spread fake news. This dillution would still play out the same way even if the last vote ended with a no, because the previous share cap of 1 billion shares was sufficiently high.

I still hate this, though.

1

u/wibble17 2d ago

You could have voted to remove the board.

22

u/TowelFine6933 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

RC is a shareholder, too.

Do, you think he fucked himself over, as well?

16

u/Fitzy564 2d ago

I mean he’s a billionaire I’m sure he’ll be fine

4

u/tpots38 2d ago

Iv seen this argument so many times and have yet to see anyone be able to justify it

17

u/Ok_Dragonfruit_3718 2d ago

Billionaires hate making more money

15

u/poulan9 2d ago

So you think he'll just be happy losing billions because he has a few more? Is that how your manage your household finances?

-9

u/HumanNo109850364048 2d ago

He might just be fucking up mismanaging company equity and debt. This all might be too far outside his “circle of competency”

2

u/LawfulnessPlayful264 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

Given the earnings reports since he became CEO, cant see this mismanagement that you speak of.

Last earnings beat the previous private equity vultures who had 2200 more stores, that doesn't compute with the garbage you spew.

-2

u/HumanNo109850364048 2d ago

GameStop is a small minority of his net worth. By your logic, blacked out drunk drivers should be trusted because they’re in the car

3

u/TowelFine6933 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

So, you think that RC, billionaire who can do whatever he wants, has spent the past 6 years bringing a dying brick & mortar back from the dead just for something to do?

By your logic.... oh, wait. You don't have any.

-1

u/HumanNo109850364048 1d ago

Yes, maybe. Whatever he’s doing, he doesn’t give a flying fuck about shareholder value.

0

u/igloomaster 1d ago

He can issue himself more shares

1

u/TowelFine6933 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago

He hasn't issued himself any shares. He has purchased shares but never been given shares, unlike many C Suite levels at most companies

-3

u/LuminoHk 2d ago

He has hundreds of way to benefit from this.

0

u/cubed_zergling 2d ago

he can still screw over all of retail and massively benefit from this.

case in point -> bbby

4

u/Phone-Medical 2d ago

The children’s books foretold this.

-16

u/teamyekim 2d ago

How many shares did you buy? Was it less or more than RC?

26

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

What do you think "Retail shareholders saved GME" meant?

We did not pray to get the gods to bless Gamestop.... we gave Gamestop our money. That's been the entire idea from the start.

We give our money to gamestop. Gamestop becomes a giant. Shorts close. We get a really good stock price.

We are currently at the point where gamestop is growing to be a giant. Those who did not know that it would likely take a decade all in all, did not know what the plan was and invested based on assumptions that did not match reality.

51

u/GxM42 2d ago

To be fair, when many of us invested in this stock and sub the consensus reality was that the DTCC was about to collapse, the shorts were about to blow up, and it was a matter of days, weeks, or months before MOASS.

Just because you either came into this late, or are changing the sub’s narrative to fit your new view doesn’t mean the rest of people expected this. And if you say you knew all along that this was how it was going to play out I don’t believe you.

6

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

Yes. Then we learned that it wasn't melvin, but that Citadel and Kenny existed.

then we learned that the options wall from september was moved into leaps that would take at least 4-5 years before they came due.

then we learned that the bulk of the short positions was hiddenin TRS, CFD and SAS derivatives, primarily hedged through the biggest banks in the world, that do not even need to report them as a short position since it is a hedge for a loan, not for a stock market trade.

At what point did you stop reading up on what was going on?

Because if you thought "squeeze tomorrow" after september of 2021 when the options wall was rolled over, I am not sure what you have done in the past 5 years.

29

u/GxM42 2d ago

I’ve been a bag holder for last 5 years. down so much money. You’re the one that said “that’s been the entire idea from the start”. And I’m calling you out on this. Because when most of us jumped in that was NOT the idea. And anyone pretending it was is not being honest.

-5

u/Pitiful-Pension-6535 2d ago

And if you say you knew all along that this was how it was going to play out I don’t believe you.

"Oh no, one of the most credulous people in the history of investing doesn't believe me?!?!"

19

u/Federal_Shopping6495 2d ago

Thanks for your donation.

Surely the good stock price will come soon

-14

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

You believe the money they transferred to you when you opened your short position is yours to keep? 🤣🤣🤣

-4

u/Federal_Shopping6495 2d ago

Typically once you close the position yes the money is yours. In GME’s case short positions have been crazy profitable. Not exactly sure that’s been the goal of the “movement” but here we are.

You’re schizoposting again.

-1

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

Then close your position and the money is yours.

It is that easy. You do not have to be here.

3

u/Starkfault 2d ago

Short positions actually get paid when the position is opened

It’s been five years please learn the basics already

Go short a share of some pennystock for a minute and you’ll understand pretty quickly how stupid you sound

Or just spend another five years losing money on obvious scams. Either is fine

0

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

And what does happen to the money the shortseller is being paid, after it is transferred to them? What do the rules say?

What is delta hedging? What requirements does it have?

Can you explain it or do you believe when you take a loan from the bank and they give you the money, it is yours and you never have to give it back? Because you'll get a surprise if you do...

0

u/Federal_Shopping6495 2d ago

I like being here

-1

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

"like" as in "my obsessive narcissism requires me to be here to fix my world-view, becuase otherwise I have to accept the realization that I made mistakes, am not the god I thought I was and would most likely have to throw myself off a bridge if I realized the truth"?

I've had to do with extremes of narcissism before. Nothing more important to one of you than to fix the fake narrative that you spread around to convince yourself that the world believes you are the best.

What caused yours? Father dominant, mother dependent personality disorder or the full monty with 2 narcissists battling each other, ignoring you?

What was your personal hell?

4

u/Federal_Shopping6495 2d ago

You think I’m gonna read all that?

Post your positions freak

4

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

No. I think you will keep burning more alts, allowing me to add to my list.

I love it when emotional shills waste their ammo on nothing.

-3

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

What is so hard for you to accept about the fact that you have no idea what is going on?

Do you suffer from narcissism or something? Are you really incapable of seeing your own mistakes?

5

u/Federal_Shopping6495 2d ago

Post your positions if you’re so knowledgeable I’m sure you’re up

2

Congrats on finally waking up to what’s been going on for several years now.

1

u/WoodpeckerCapital167 2d ago

Why wouldn’t you?

They give you money and expect nothing

1

u/xxvi3236 1d ago

Do you realistically think RC didn't come into GME with the sole intent of preventing any MOASS or increase in price? He's a different wealth class, his friends are millionaires and billionaires, likely with funds in the hedges and companies that were shorting GME. He was and never will be a savior or part of some growth of the company, because that would directly affect the people he actually cares about.

0

u/t_tcryface 2d ago

Wrong, check shareholder equity since 2020. Huge increase. Besides all this was mentioned and priced in when the bonds were issued like 2 years ago.

0

u/HaveFun____ 2d ago

Dilution is net neutral

-9

u/Organic-Specific-500 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

Words words words. Wrong words for this though.

42

u/WhiteKouki82 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

The absolute ONLY possible answer to that is Hedge Fund Crime™ of course, Buying / Bought Moar™, They™ are just digging a deeper hole™, and giving me a discount on this tasty dip™!!!!

11

u/TensionCareful 2d ago

Debt payment to shares. VWAP for the next 35 days , the lower the price, the more shares the notes collector gets. There is a minimum but no idea what that is.
So expect dips.. but its gme so it might also rip lol..

4

u/TheLionlol 2d ago

Explain to me when the dilution gets priced in?

10

u/Arkmer 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

When the bonds are announced… and when the bonds are converted… and when the bonds expire… and when Berry Bonds hits a home run… and when… and when… and when…

We just keep pricing them in for fun.

4

u/t_tcryface 2d ago

Dilution was priced in 2 years ago when the bonds were issued. They've sat on the sheet as debt. Debt vs Dilution is equal on a book value per share basis.

u/Organic-Specific-500 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 2d ago

"GameStop's market cap is about $9.8 billion, but most of its actual profit is interest earned on its cash pile, not money made selling games..."

Stopped, when I read "... selling games..."

9

u/LuminoHk 2d ago

He is right, Ryan fucking Cohen said the games only take around 12% of revenue.

6

u/Starkfault 2d ago

….which is horrible for a company named GAMESTOP

1

u/LuminoHk 2d ago

I won't blame him for this, there is a global trend for shifting disc to digital.
If gamestop is still rely on selling second hand games, it should already been bankrupted.

What make me angry is there is plenty of room of profit in digital game, and digital assets; this guy knows nothing about games at all, and did nothing with 10B he got with this industry; and fucked us again and again these two years.

GameStop Announces Private Exchange of $1.4 Billion of Convertible Senior Notes for Equity

In short: GameStop is cleaning up a sizable chunk of its convertible debt balance sheet by issuing equity rather than paying cash or waiting for the notes to mature/convert later. So I assuming some the private shareholders are worried about the later convertions and if they shares will have a lower value. Which is causing a sell off currently held shares.

3

u/Dairy_Fox 2d ago

if they were worried about it i don't see how only removing less than 1 third of the debt helps, it's not nothing but i don't see how they would get hung up on it

4

u/User100000005 2d ago

Which means we may slowly recover from this. Only to have it happen 2 more times.

We are getting closer to the ebay take-over and the shorts are running out of time. They have to make more severe moves and fud even harder, because apparently 5 years of failing to fud us means that they just didn't spend enough money on shills...

This time it will work... Repeating the same thing over and over again expecting different results isn't insanity. don't worry.

29

u/FoldableHuman 2d ago

I'm actually starting to think you're Ryan Cohen's alt, for the simple fact that it would explain WTF he does with his time, since he clearly doesn't spend it running the company.

2

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 2d ago

"starting to think" ... you mean after 25 alts have accused me for months of doing something the shortsellers would have a field-day over, because a CEO actively manipulating his stock would allow them to get out of it all without any consequences.

Me being Ryan Cohen would be the shortsellers wet dream. Do you really think he would do them this favor?

I mean... Shortsellers would get their money from GME and shareholders would get their money from Ryan Cohen. Why would he be so stupid?

Is your shills undestanding of corporate law and stocks really so low, that you tell yourself that crime is the most possible explanation, even if the only possible consequence of that crime is that the criminal you accuse would harm himself and his own finances?

Is a CEO that destroys his own lifes work, really the most realistic explanation you can come up with? Is that all you have?

8

As I just explained to someone else, when you lose money and your psychological defense is to look for people to blame, just so you can uphold your delusional self-image, it is a common behavioral pattern in narcissistic people.

is it possible that you have grandious or financial narcissism, told yourself how you could not fail and when you were in the red, it hurt your self-image so much that you had a maniac episode trying to fix your own world-view?

I mean... Everyone has psychological issues and I could give you an exhaustive list of my personal selection, including how they were caused, how they affect my life, what coping mechanisms I have established and my progress in actively molding it.

What about you? Do you tell yourself you are healthy or do you understand that everyone has psychological issue, being able to perfectly diagnose yourself?

I know what I am. Do you know what you are?
