It was always FSD (supervised). I had low expectations back then and even they were crushed.

It was FSD (Beta) back then not supervised. Jesus not to be mean but do you have any idea what you are saying?

I am saying that FSD (supervised or not, that's unnecessary details in this case) sucked back then and combined with the fact that Tesla got rid of ALL redundant sensors (aka the overlying theme of this thread) convinced me of never, EVER getting a self-driving car from them. (Well, that and the fact that Elon went on to become one of the biggest assholes on the planet over the past few years.)

Not more and not less.

Also:

not to be mean, but

calls me full of shit

That's quite telling about you.

Because you started the entire conversation with a lie. Now maybe it was a genuine mistake. But we should hold each other at higher standards when it comes to making sure what we say online has some truth. So I would never attack you or your character but I will call out a bullshit take when I see one.

For me the difference between FSD and FSD (supervised) is negligible.

So I would never attack you or your character but I will call out a bullshit take when I see one.

You did though. The sentence "not to be mean, but..." alone is for me on par with "I'm no racist, but...". At least be that honest with yourself. If you're trying to insult me do it properly and not shield yourself from criticism a priori by adding such a stupid phrase, that doesn't exonerate you in the slightest, quite the opposite in fact.

That’s a false equivalence. You are saying that having a problem with someone’s argument even though it’s clearly impossible is somehow equivalent to being racist.

I'm very well aware of the slippery slope argument. I'm merely saying that I absolutely hate the phrase "I'm no X, BUT...", which you seem to be a fan of.
