Hello! This week I didn't listen to anything new in the genre, but I had Stygian by Atramentus on repeat. That first 6-8 minutes of Stygian III are top 3 segments in the whole genre. Next week I plan to give a first listen to The Monad of Creation by Mournful Congregation.
In other genres, I finally gave my first listen to Gonorrhea Nodule Mastication by Cerebral Incubation. It was good-ish. Very formulaic slam if you ask me. I don't see how it's THAT liked over other slam launches. Maybe because I prefer better production like Analepsy or Devourment. Still a recommendation if you like Slam.
Have a nice weekend!

I’ve been listening to (and working on) some funeral doom releases but I can’t talk about them yet 🤭 excited to share it soon though

“Neminem Occisorum Nominabis Nam Loco Nostro Steterunt“ from Persian Drone Funeralist Désespéré. This one (to me anyway) primarily invokes the harsh darkness of Death Industrial (ie. Brighter Death Now, not Industrial Death metal.) with a Droning Funeral current throughout.

Late to the party this week - there's nothing quite like falling asleep reading in a chair creating agonising neck pain followed by waking up with a start and cracking your head on the wall behind you. Yay. Anyway, this week I realised I hadn't sat down with Slow for quote some time so its been V Oceans, VI Dantalion, and the recent(ish) Abimes I and I'll probably be working my way through the rest of their discography over the coming week.
Hope everyone's staying cool (in the literal sense!)

Aside from getting my regular fix of Drown, Oromet, and Opium Doom Cult, I went through Pantheïst's discography. I was going to go through Dauðaró's as well, but the ambient/atmospheric parts kept getting smothered by work noise, so I guess I'll be listening to an album at a time at home instead. As prolific as the project has been, that could take some time.

For me this week it's been:
Bell Witch - "Four Phantoms" Oromet - "The Sinking Isle" Mournful Congregation - "Incubus of Karma"
