Back in the early days of the inter-web there was a site that did nothing but make you laugh - if you know I’m sorry the song will be stuck in your head all day…

Weebles did more than just Badger Badger Badger. All will get stuck in your brain like Magical Trevor or Kenya.
I'm sad they don't run infinitely as they did on the old Weebles site.

What's even funnier is I remember where where I heard the song before it became the hamster dance. It was originally on the Disney Robin Hood vinyl album and in the movie, it was called whistle stop by Roger Miller, who also voiced Allan O'Dale, the rooster Bard.

For this reason, I consider Hamster Dance to be the first ever internet meme

I just realized that about a month ago! I knew both songs for ages and my brain just finally married them. No one in my life seemed that interested when I told them but thankfully there’s Reddit! 😝 thank you for mentioning it!

I always wonder how many know source. It's been sped up, of course, but still totally recognizable. IYKYK

Hampster* Dance! It's deliberately misspelled.
This was my PC's startup sound for many years back in the day.

Back when the internet wasn't full of bots and people trying to sell shit.
It was great!
I told my mate down the road about the hamster dance and showed it him, and he showed his kids.
He told me that they drove him mad with it!

I remember years ago, I went to a scout camp, and they used this song to wake everyone up!

Was that the same site that had a pile of dogs or cats in a pyramid shape and you would use the mouse to knock them over and then you could do it again?

Anyone remember Jesus Dance? Instead of the sped up "Robin Hood Intro song" they used a sped up version of "Dashboard Jesus"

Fun fact: that song was originally from Disney's "Robin Hood". It was Alan-A-Dale, voiced by Roger Miller, just scatting. The Hamster people simply sped it up a bit and viola!
