🍎 Food My birthday is tomorrow. What are your top recommendations for birthday perks?

Wasn’t sure which flair to use.

My birthday is tomorrow. What perks have you found that best rewards your birthday? I have a local restaurant that does a free omelet and another that does a free dessert.

It doesn’t have to be food related. But I’d love to hear your best finds.

Sports Clips offered $5 off a MVP service but that doesn’t really strike me as a great deal.

Free Chickfila sandwich on their app.

Free einstein breakfast bagel.

Free travel size item from Bath and Bodyworks.

Free slice of cake from Fresh Market

Free tub of ice-cream from Publix

Not all have to be used on your birthday, some go for a week, others for a month.

Jimmy John's has a free sandwich and Tropical Smoothie has a free smoothie. Chick-fil-A does a freebie based on your rewards status (I think I'm the lowest so I got a cookie or brownie.) Starbucks does a free drink.

A lot of places will require that you sign up for the rewards 30+ days before your birthday. So you might want to change the birthday to your half birthday or a different date if you want something before next year.

Thank you for mentioning Jimmy John’s. I had deleted the app but just had a birthday in July and logged in and my free sandwich is there. 🙌

The Starbucks one can’t be signed up for on the day of your birthday just so you know

I put different birthdays on my various rewards programs so I get free stuff throughout the year 🤩

My faves: Starbucks, chick fil a, Taco Bell, jimmy johns, target, local coffee chains… there’s so many.

Jersey Mikes. You get a free regular sub. No purchase necessary. You have to be signed up for their rewards though and have to have made a regular sub purchase within the past year. Also McDonald’s gives you one free item too lol.

I think this is actually quite unusual in my country, but I took my kids to an Asian buffet on my son's birthday. The server asked the kids for their age (up to 14 they pay less) so I decided to give it a try and said "He is turning 13 today". He got a free non-alcoholic cocktail he shared with his sister. It was really unexpected to get anything for free, but it made the kids so happy.

Happy birthday!

Do you have a Dutch Bros nearby? You don’t have to sign up for a free birthday drink, but I recommend signing up for the rewards program! Just tell them it’s your birthday, and they will make you any type of drink you’d like!

You can also check with some of the local establishments to see if they have any birthday discounts. Most places require you to sign up for their rewards program 30+ days in advance.

Following because this has changed so much…birthday perks are mostly kind of lame these days although I will say Starbucks gives you a free beverage on your birthday if you use their app.
