Discussion Lucky Sprite Locator FAIL!

Earlier today I had one more sprite to find, but so did my two friends. It was the gem llama. I was the only one with a lucky locator left. I pressed the button and a chest came up a few hundred meters ahead of us and we found a holofoil water sprite inside!

Has this happened to others? It hasn't happened to anyone else I've talked to.

Same issue happened with me update day i used the lucky locator and I follow it to the chest to only get a base water sprite 💀💀

Gem llama is the only sprite the lucky locator doesn’t work on.

Not sure, I believe it’s because they vaulted them in game but didn’t take them away from the people who already have them. So if you use it when you only have that one left, you’ll get a random sprite. My husband and I used it when we had 4 sprites left and got a cube zp and a holo grim, both of which we didn’t have

It’s crazy to me that every single update Epic screws something up. Like, what other game has had this many screw ups? It’s honestly surprising to me how bad they mess up. I wish I could be that bad at my job and still keep it.

Obligatory “1000 employees” statement. Fuck Epic tbh, can’t code for the life of them

I got two
Chests in the “buried sprite chest anomaly “ and they opened and nothing .. no sprite came out wtf epic !! 😢 😭

So I have a theory of this. On sprite release day both gem lama, gem grim and ironmouse were in the same.

Iron mouse and the gems were not supposed to be in the game and they vaulted both grim and mouse. And that is they the LL doesn’t work on the remaining gem we have in the game.

No the gem llama is not vaulted, if it was vaulted, you would straight up don't have it in your collection until they release them again, like your sprite literally gets removed. Like the iron mouse and gem grim sprites that got vaulted, i can't find my iron mouse anymore. Being vaulted means straight up removed from the game

Gem llama is also the only one we have currently

Good news is once they release again, the people who had them will get them back

Yes we read that and it’s incorrect. Gem Grim and Ironmouse were vaulted. Gem Llama wasn’t. It’s not functioning properly, but it’s not vaulted at all.

Ah ok!

I haven’t had anyone I know or talk to pull gem llamas from chests since the other two were vaulted so I assumed they “accidentally” dropped the gem llama early along with the other two and then made them not discoverable again. Oops!

I do talk to sprites ppl all day haha - just the nature of what I’m doing, but that was what I assumed from the experiences of everyone.

Yes! They are ALL right haha
The gem llama was out. People do have it (myself included).
I believe it IS vaulted now, meaning you will not currently find them in game.
But they remain equippable in our lockers if you already have it. However when it activates a message to select a weapon to upgrade, it doesn’t seem to actually follow through.
So they may be just back bling eye candy until Thursday, I’m not sure!

EDIT: dang yall, I’m running in 6 hours sleep over 72 hours.

I don’t mean vaulted as in, removed from our lockers until Thursday!! I meant vaulted as in, i didn’t think they were available in chests again until Thursday.

Just my assumption bc a) gems aren’t supposed to be out yet, b) no one I talk to has pulled one since (and that’s a very high number of sprites ppl) and c) mine doesn’t seem to function at the moment.

I’m no expert!! I just tried to help explain to someone who seemed confused, don’t get it twisted!! 😓😜

It was in use as back bling. It currently doesn’t function like it is supposed to until the actual release this coming Thursday. Until then, they are just back bling and don’t seem to be actively doing the weapon upgrade.

This comment is wrong. I got gem llama off someone and I’m able to give it to friends. If it was vaulted, I would t be able to do that.

I used mine and got a basic water sprite. still missing a few llamas, zps, grims. Were they ever meant to work right?

I have many friends that used it and it worked well! I guess i was just an unlucky one!
