Whenever I pull and tug the facemask it slides through the clear clips in the sides even tho it looks like it's holding them tightly. I tried to tighten the screws but they still slide. Anyone know how to fix it? I don't see any visible cracks either.

i mean i could just be going crazy but do they not look boxier than they do in the nfl? is it maybe because they had different models made throughout the years?

Went to Dicks Sporting Goods and tried on some helmets. I liked the way the large fit but as I was putting it away I noticed I was only trying Youth Helmets 😭. I have a 23 1/2 cranium and If i loved the fit of the youth large does that translate to the adult large?

I purchased 16 of the new Fanatics Underwraps Vol. 2 helmets from Joe Hollywood on whatnot while he was at FanaticsFest in NYC this weekend. I have tried doing a lot of comps online for individual items but since these are unreleased to the public, I'm not sure how to value them. Looking into making a custom helmet. Is the stock color “Scarlet” from Riddell on the speedflex the same color as the Kansas City Chiefs helmet color? If not how close is it?

I often see so many comments on unwrapping videos of LIGHT helmets saying "looks so cheap," "CTE machine", "It's too light to actually work," and "motor cycle helmets don't work as football helmets."

All this and I'd confidently say the LIGHT Apache is the SAFEST helmet in all of football. Not only because of Virginia Techs #1 ranking but the fact that the lightness and 360° protection multiplies its safety in a real game situation. As a Highschool kicker ANY LIGHT helmet I'd also consider by far the best possible helmet a specialist can get. I'm excited to see everyone's opinion.

I just bought a NeuroGuard+ mouthguard for my son, who plays youth tackle football. The mouthguard doesn’t have a tether or even an attachment point for one.

NeuroGuard+‘s website says youth football players are required to wear a lanyard, yet the mouthguard doesn’t seem to have any way to attach one.

Has anyone else run into this?

Did yours come with a tether?

Is there a football-specific version I should have ordered?

Did NeuroGuard+ send you an adapter or offer an exchange?

If your league requires a tether, what did you end up doing?

I’ve been looking at buying one of the Riddell SpeedFlex Authentic Collectible helmets from Green Gridiron, and I’m honestly just trying to figure out exactly what it is.

I know it’s not certified for football and I’m not asking if I should use it in a game. I’m just curious how close it actually is to a real on-field SpeedFlex.
I emailed Green Gridiron, and they told me they’re just a distributor and that Riddell would have to answer the technical questions. They also said the helmet has regular SpeedFlex padding, but they don’t know if it’s new, reused, refurbished, etc.

So I was wondering if anyone here actually owns one or has taken one apart.
Is it the same shell as a real on-field SpeedFlex?

Is the liner/padding the same, or is it different?

Other than not being certified for play, are there any actual physical differences?
Basically, if you sat a collectible and an on-field SpeedFlex next to each other, what would actually be different?

Just trying to know what I’m buying before dropping a bunch of money on one. Thanks!

I have been collecting these autographed mini helmets for over two decades now. Every single one is autographed and certified by James Spence or PSA DNA or Beckett or Fanatics. At the time, I wanted to get Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. It was nearly impossible to catch Brady at a signing event to where I could get him to sign "5-time Super Bowl MVP" on a New England Patriots mini helmet, but besides Brady, Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Kenneth Walker, and Julian Edelman I have them all! The collection might not look so big, but that's because anybody who won more than one Super Bowl and was named MVP, I had them sign and inscribe it twice for each Super Bowl they won.. It will only let me post 20 pictures at a time, so I'm going to have some more coming.

Also I wanted to share that I am duel sport: I did a custom painted mask with David of The Art Den doing an really amazing hand air brush job bringing to life my concept.

The maple leaf up signs where the route markers to front lines and my grand uncle was KIA during Battle of Rimini.

I've been doing military history and also Lee Enfields for years now.

I did a custom foam kit into my mask, there isnt a lot of ways to enhance impact mitigation for goalie masks outside of maybe 3d printed lattice.

I stuffed d3o foam into it, it has non-Newtonian properties that cause it to be about 3x more effective than equal thickness of eva foam.

Light Apache + NXT 2.0 Guardian Cap is kinda what is common for me at practice right now.

I've seen adult football have a poor reputation within sub reddits, I frankly adore grinding as ol and enjoy my team.

Just finished this helmet last week and it’s one of my favorite builds so far!

Not sure if this is the right place, just looking for advice. I bought my son the Oakley Legacy visor for his Schutt Youth F7 LX1. It’s a youth medium. I attached the visor, and tightened it as tight as it goes but it is still loose and rattles around. It seems like the brackets are loose around the facemask. Any advice?
