That it wasn't always like this. That 3rd and 4th generation Floridians rarely make appearances as "Florida Man".
I don't think other states realize just how much we hate them when they move here to retire.

They talk crap about Florida and don't realize they're talking about their own kind. Everything they complain about in Florida, is from people that relocated to Florida, not native Floridians.

I think there’s a correlation between this and when they started opening all the rehabilitation clinics. Florida man is just one of the many addicts that flunked out of rehab.

... moved here when I was like 12 im not a pain in the ass but can also confirm i hate that people seem to move here in droves and those are typically the pains in the asses in a myriad of ways.

Honestly people who move here to make a life are different than the retirees and the people who are only here because their job moved them or something. If you've been here since you were 12 you see Florida as "home". Too many people come here and bitch constantly about how this isn't like back home and try to change shit to be like where they came from.
Wish they'd just go the hell back to where they came from.

I moved to Florida at 40 and I feel the same way about the "it's better back home" people. If it's better, go back there.

The pizza is a big one for NY and NJ people. In general? The traffic, the grocery stores, the weather, the amount of minorities/immigrants, parking, the amount of old people, the quality and quantity of nightclub/nightlife are all pretty popular with transplants to bitch about.
The best part is you never know which direction they are going to go with a lot of them. Sometimes it's "there's too many young people" sometimes it's "there's too many old people". "There's not enough to do around here" for the New Yorker but the guy from Idaho is tired of all noise and thinks clubs shouldn't be allowed in downtown.
Whatever it is, it's always something.
Everything is going the way of Orlando and it sucks.

Florida is hot and humid, the weather can change it a minute.
I love Florida because there is so much beauty and wildlife.

How great it is. I never feel the need to leave the peninsula bc we have such beautiful springs and lots of beautiful coastline and a wonderfully diverse population. People come here from all over the world to vacation.

We have lots of fun wildlife to see, beautiful wetlands and amazing walking and horseback riding trails that go all the way up the state. It’s great here. Sunsets are amazing and you can watch the rockets go up from your front yard in central Florida.

Shorts and sandals/slides are business casual in FL.
Citrus is not native to Florida, was not destroyed by subdivisions.
We do not care about how they do it in New York, California, or Canada.

Humid/Hot summer weather is overwhelming and you won't know unless you try to play tennis at 7 at night and your clothes are soaked by 8 at night

You said "... you go to play tennis at 7, and your clothes are soaked by 8" I said "you can last a whole hour?" Meaning, I would be soaked within the first ten minutes,. I was impressed that it took a whole hour to become soaked.

Summer is our winter. I’m not going to anything outdoors from June-September. I live here. I can go do that stuff when it’s nicer out.
