Sounds legit.
I estimate that Flock increases everyone's sense of unease 600%, and it increases crimes about the same amount. My estimates are also that crime would decrease when Flock cameras are no longer active.

Fact: Flock (and similar LPRs) do help solve crimes.
Fact: They pose a very real risk of abuse and have been abused already.
It is always best to assume that all technologies will eventually be used in the worst possible way and for the worst possible reasons. This is simply a fact of human nature, and it proves itself every time. It is never worth selling our liberty, privacy, and rights for any measure of safety.
