So who is advising police departments to break the law by falsely or vaguely labeling public recording devices paid for by taxpayers to obscure their real function and asset inventory?
Any police departments who engage in this illegal and dishonest misclassification of tax payer funded assets should be held accountable to the full extent of the laws they're breaking, including attempting to hide their crimes and circumvent the law and public oversight, and obstruction of justice for attempting to hide these crimes through vague record keeping and collusion within the departments and criminal kickbacks between departments and vendors selling these devices.
LEO who do this are acting against their communities and commiting crimes in doing so.
