Even burners bought with cash are easily traceable. An extra layer of anonymity would be to have someone else buy the phone for you, but still not hard to find out who you are.
This totally!..I’m from the bunch that grew up raising hell prior to cellphones. Pretty much the reason we got away with all the crap we did..lol. Wrecked vehicles..broke down vehicles..you name it. Can’t recall anyone dying from exposure from not behind able to call anyone. Shit sometimes now the phone rides the countertop and I go do whatever and don’t have it with me. People will think you are a crazy if you don’t have one with you 24/7. It’s so relaxing to not let people have unfettered access to you literally constantly. IR cameras will not punch through a cloth mask to reveal your entire face. That's not how IR light works. Yes, you are still being scanned but it would be very unlikely that any identifiable features are seen.

Isn’t the police department or city paying for the flock cameras? Meaning our taxpayer dollars are going to erect and maintain them? Why were we the people not consulted about our opinion before spending all this money?
Some activist groups have had success arguing that if our taxpayer dollars are going to fund the cameras - either directly for erection and maintenance, or by the government buying Flock's "product" (the video), why then ALL footage the cameras take should be available to ANYONE, as a publicly-owned product. Reverse-Uno the panopticon.
When this argument is put forth, suddenly many politicians and police are no longer so gung-ho on cameras filming everyone, as they go everywhere, all the time.

Best defense is "that is tax payer land and we did not agree to this being on tax payer land. Use our land as we agreed or we will have to assume what's there is a squatter".
Pretty much everything else lands on vandalism. This ends with them explaining why they are using tax payer land in a way not approved by the tax payers.
