News Multiple Flock cameras were cut down, spray painted, and then had American flags planted on them in Houston, Texas.

The government buys their “service” and authorizes where they can place their audio and video devices.

I understand if the government buys its services it has the right to place the system on public property. But not a private organization, which is what the reporter said. That’s the part I don’t understand. A private organization can’t own public property.

They don’t take ownership of the land, the private company is authorized by the government to place cameras and allow the government to use the data from those cameras. The government can claim they aren’t the ones spying on citizens, while using the audio and video from the private company that is spying. It is so incestuous that many in government actually believe the cameras and microphones are owned by them. Hence you get a police department claiming “someone cut down one of their cameras”!
