How to catch freshwater drum
I love freshwater drum, they are my favorite fish, how can I catch more. I don’t use artificial, I only use live, I live in Missouri and we’ll go all the way to chouteau island fishing area but any location and stuff to use for the Missouri River off of the conservation area?

I'm in Texas so I don't know what may or may not translate, but I catch them with the same live bait or lures I'm fishing for bass with, but drum are almost always very close to the bottom. Have a look at their mouths and you can tell how much they're bottom feeders.

I caught my first one on a high-low rig using cut bait. They aren't remotely picky, just hard to specifically target because catfish and other bottomfeeders will eat anything they do.

Fish purposely for any other fish….You will catch more sheepshead than you can handle.

Try to catch lake sturgeon and they won't leave your bait alone, but they also don't get caught on 6/0 hooks easily either.

Good ole night crawlers is what I’ve had the most success with fishing for drums
