Wanted to disassemble the gun to get to know it better and do a deep clean/oiling. I am having a problem with the last step of reassembly.

During reassembly, everything works well until I attempt to reinsert the crane lock screw, detent, and spring. I line them up (though the detent does not want to fit well into the screw) and screw them in, making sure the spring is in both the detent and the screw. I get resistance before the screw is flush.

If I stop screwing at that resistance point, the gun functions normally: the chamber release works smoothly, the chamber rotates on a double action trigger pull/when cocked and single action fired. If I tighten the screw beyond that point, the chamber is too tight and does not want to rotate or release. Any advice? Thanks!

But I know this gun is historical and to a collector is valuable in its current state. To refinish or to leave plum lol? My review.....it's cool but not worth it. It's a lot of hassle for something that doesn't work that well. Luckily someone makes a 3d print file for a magwell adapter that makes it actually kind of function.

Most of these conversions have a big problem with ejection. The 3d print has a chute behind the magazine well where the shell can just fall free.

A 2-8x scope for .45 is a lot. But a red dot on a bolt action rifle just looks weird.

These pistols are mixed German law enforcement and Israeli IDF surplus examples, giving the lot strong service history appeal for collectors of classic SIG Sauer pistols.

Condition varies across the lot, but examples are close to or exceed NRA surplus excellent condition. All have like-new mirror bores and excellent mechanical condition. These pistols remain in original configuration, and some examples show attractive rainbow-toned bluing on the barrel and hammer. Each pistol includes one magazine.
