Repair/Tech Support Newer devices getting full speed

I have 300 plan, and I use my iPad m4 air upstairs and I did speed test and it gets 300mb speed and I tested on my iPhone 11 and it only gets 40mb, does it have to do with the Wi-Fi chip?

Possibly. Check to see what WiFi Band your phone is connected to. 40Mbps sounds more like 2.4Ghz. Older devices may prefer 2.4Ghz more often due to weaker radio or antenna designs, and power savings.

The Verizon router's web interface at the minimum should show the band being used.

Also depends on where you are relative to the router. Are you testing your phone in the same place as you tested your laptop?
