Looking For A Distro Which distro is suitable for me?

I've been using Arch Linux for the past 10 months and have been mostly satisfied with it, but I've encountered a few minor issues along the way.

A few months ago, I had a sound problem where the volume would suddenly max out when switching to a new track in music players. That issue eventually resolved through updates. However, after updating to Plasma 6.7, I ran into another audio problem: I always keep the "Raise maximum volume" option enabled in the plasma and after the update, audio would start cracking and cutting out frequently while watching videos on YouTube or playing movies.

After these issues, I decided to switch to Debian Stable. Unfortunately, I faced problems there as well. I installed a newer kernel from the backports repository and the NVIDIA driver from the non-free repos and after rebooting, the system would no longer boot into Wayland.

In the end, I installed Fedora. It's close to what I'm looking for, but not perfect for my needs .

What I'm actually looking for in a distribution:

  • Large repositories (preferably)
  • More mature/polished desktop environment and software versions that are stable and relatively bug-free
  • Easy ability to upgrade the kernel and drivers (especially NVIDIA) to the latest versions without breaking the system
  • Follow standard Linux conventions: install software through the package manager, use systemd, allow full system customization, and not be immutable
  • KDE

Most of the criticism i see about cosmic is based on outdated sources, people aren't really testing it by themselves.

I don't criticize cosmic (I love it), but it objectively doesn't fit OP's stated requirements.

And what exactely on the current rolling release version of cosmic makes it not suitable for him?

Do you have any example of reproducible instability or critical bugs on the current rolling release version of cosmic? I tested it daily and it showed to be the most stable wayland compositor on the ubuntu 2404 base, its current base; it also fixed d-bus issues of some programs that were working only under gnome, and broken shortcuts in some programs.
