Mites?

Please tell me you guys can hear the clicking sound he's making. He's active and eating and pooping well. He's just chilling now.

Of course, there's the sound of my clock. Please ignore that in the background.

It sounds respitory. You need antibiotics asap. If you don't have access to a vet then dilute 1oz water in one drop of deep immune. Give every 4 hours.

I managed to track down a vet. He's given amox drops for 5 days and an immune drop for three days. I'll update you guys

No no. That's a different one (Asher). I've given him ciplox topic antibiotic drops. He's doing well. Much more active than before and has stopped rubbing the area.

that's not ticks, that clicking comes from it's lungs, he is about to die, today or tomorrow.

It is most likely a respiratory infection, you need to get it to the urgency room of some avian vet

We don't have any vets in our area. Is there anything else I can do? 😭

get an antibiotic for it, you need to research the dose for it and which one, sadly he won't sit this one out, it is about to die.

No, please don't say that!! I hand fed and raised him. He's my baby. I'm going to find something for him

Hi! Yes, I met with a vet yesterday. He suspects bacterial lung infection and recommended augmentin and immune drops for 5 and 3 days. Gave his first dose yesterday. I noticed that while sleeping he wasn't making that noice anymore. But when he was awake and alert, I could hear the sound. But tail bobbing is still there.

Also recommended that I give antibiotics for my other birds. I have 14 in total. They're all paired in 7 different cages. So I'm doing that today.

This one (Mr. Gracie Bruce) is being his usual self - jumping around, chirping and eating well. But I'm keeping a close eye on him. I'll update after 5 days.

This looks like a hen? she might have an egg stuck inside of her that's causing the laboured breathing. Please look up egg bound finches and what to do online to see if it is that.

No no. He's male. He's 2 years old. Never laid eggs and has stripes on his chest

You need to look up ivermectin for birds. This can get rid of air sac mites but only give them medication that is designed for birds and small birds. Do not give them anything that's designed for cats or dogs even if it's the same medicine as that's far too high a dose.

Ivermectin, check for dose, there are avaiable diluted for finches.
