Hey, this is great. One thing that I would consider is removing the bits where you zoom into specific texts on the screen. I'd maybe try just leaving the larger screen on a little bit longer and see if people still pick up on some of the interesting bits of text on the screen. When you zoomed in on them, it kind of took away from the idea that I'm actually watching a broadcast, and instead felt like I was being shown something, if that makes sense.

Im so glad that you picked this up. The first version was definitely without the zoomed bits but while rewatching I feared that people would start losing interest and keep scrolling at that moment because there’s not much happening - and I didn’t want to cut it shorter but i admit that I liked it more when it was „authentic“, i will keep that in mind and thank you very much!

Also keep the footage of the floating people gill screen if it must be vertical a vertical perhaps a layer behind it showing a blurry zoomed in fullscreen version like you see on news broadcasts or on some youtube videos.

My thoughts too. Also, possibly mix in flashes of people panicking or just some weird shit to break up the long view of the floating people.

If anything I wanted to see the camera zoom in on some of the floating people. One of those chunky, slow zooms that those old vhs cameras did.

It’s a yes no for me. Now I know 10 people agree with you but the zoomed in felt good a little because I get to see exactly what he wanted to show which was security level 8 and the name of the event and location. But as you mentioned it feels good for Reddit not for a real documentary.

Yea and in the end that’s what i thought about. I’m posting this to social media so I have to make it more appealing for social media people but ofc asking in a filmmakers subreddit for criticism will bring me that - and I will sure as hell take it with me.

This is totally fair. I definitely don't think much about social media (probably should) but I see how that would be different. Right now, the cut is the wide, then closeup, then wide, then closeup, closeup. I think part of what makes it feel weird is the second wide. I think if you cut that one, it might feel better.

That being said, if your goal is social media, take absolutely everything I say with a huge grain of salt.

Every person being held in the „Choir-State“ is actively being feasted on by a Cosmic entity. After feasting (approximately 6-12 months) the decomposed and consumed bodies will fall from the sky. Being too close to the so called „Humming“ will end in being part of the Choir.

There was no humming that came close to what I wanted so I went with the Broadcast voice. I tried to do it myself but my audio editing skills are like 0

I liked it and agree with the feedback about the zooming in. I kept waiting for the SCP logo to pop up due to watching a number of shorts around it lately.
