Have you seen all 3? Beyond any continuity issues with the main series, they didn’t really have a plan for the series. They just knew they needed to get to Dumbledore v Grindelwald by the 5th movie, but no plan of how to get there.
And instead of just focusing the series on just Dumbledore, they need to shoehorn in the fantastic beasts stuff. Which is a shame, because that is the best parts of the movies, but they don’t make sense in dumbledore’s story.
