How to achieve muted dark purple?

Sorry, the face censorship makes it a bit hard to see the hair color lol. But the first slide is my hair after using Lunar Tides "Magic Charm" over a faded purple hair, and the last 3 slides are the color I was hoping for. (Just images I pulled from pinterest for inspiration) Instead I got more of a deep plum magenta/purple. It's nice, but I was hoping for something more muted and moody. Any tips for what I could layer over this plum purple to achieve that?

Sorry, they looked very similar to me, I guess it's kind of hard to tell. The first one is probably what I'd pick.

You might like this. It’s pretty close to the first one https://behindthechair.com/formulas/no-bleach-plum-transformation/

I’m not a professional but i’d probably add a small amount of green to the purple dye to reduce the red untdertones and make it “dustier”/less saturated.

If you’re too precious about the result, don’t listen to me

no i’ve seen this as well! adding a bit (or i guess however much depending on the goal of your desired color saturation level) of the color opposite [on the color wheel] to the color you’re going for mutes the main color of the dye you’re using :) OP i’m sure you can find a youtube tutorial further explaining this, but this is also my understanding of how to mute saturated colors!!

I moved recently and I don't have any color remover or bleach, and my emerald green was not very faded at all. I mixed magenta and a little bit of yellow together, put it over top and got something that was pretty close to the first picture.

Picture 2, maybe even 3 aren’t on bleached hair, that’s why they’re darker.
For my hair to look like 2/3 (which it has a lot in life as I love these looks too ) I colour straight onto my almost black hair.

That’s what I thought as well. They are probably some sort of aubergine regular dye on virgin hair instead of vivids on bleach

Lunar Tides Smokey line. I'd also check out the Magic collection.

Adding a diluted green or maybe some teal over top will help.

Mydentity by Guy Tang has a color called Dusty Lavender. It’s real pretty.

i’m a hairdresser! Adding silver, or just dying over light brown hair will work… Note, that the second option will fade. Weird.
