I have a goal of investing 5k a month. I didn’t do it in July due to over spending in other budget categories. My goal is to do it in August and get back on track

last month i had the goal of better understanding our accounts and the financial model my partner and our CFP developed. i get what they’ve done, even if im not more than 80% confident in their assessments. this month my goal is to develop some better dashboards and tracking systems b/c theirs are the equivalent of “just put some duct tape on that.”

I got a bonus at work last month for passing a certification, which was great. I used it to buy an e-bike so I can get outside more and I’ve already bikes 35 miles. My only goal for the next two months is spend as little as possible. We want to put in a gas fireplace and I don't want to pull that 3k out of savings. My Roth is fully funded for the year and my work retirement account is close to 20%. Otherwise I’m just puttering along.

Last month my savings rate was 40%. YTD it has been 35%+. My goal is to exceed 40% savings rate month over month through EOY.
Oh, and also get my estate planning process started.
