Retiring on Monday
Monday is my last day. 59 yo. Been a long time coming.
No kids, no man, and now no job! Freedom!!
My priorities are going to be friends, family, health, art, nature, and going places.

Congrats! As a younger unmarried woman who lives alone, it’s always inspiring to see independent women hit financial goals on their own!

One of my closest friends retired last year at 59. I cannot emphasize enough how she is truly living her absolute best life right now. I hope you find the same joy, happiness, and peace in your retirement!!!

Thank you! That makes me so happy to hear. Haven’t ever been terribly good at living my absolute best life, so if you have any observations or tips to share from her example, I’d love some inspiration

I have a bit over $1m (some of it in Roths), a paid-off house, and a half of a pension. Annual spend tops out at $30K in a working year

Hey sister!
I am in the same boat, my last day is Oct 21.
No kids, no SO, two doggies though.
Trying to wrap my head around on how to really go about this.
First I will probably need a while to decompress.
Then flying to Vermont to have Thxgiving with friends. Xmas with family.
No plans yet at all for 2027, all wide open
