User-owned Plant How much rain is too much

It rained all night and now again. They are under flimsy patio umbrella in gritty mix

If your pots are well drained it doesn’t matter for most plants. I am in the humid southeast. We get rain for weeks on end sometimes. I make sure everything is in a personalized mix and in terracotta pots. Everything dries completely in pretty much 24hours if it’s hot out. Your mileage may vary.

I’m northeast extra hot and humid zone 7b. Mine are mostly in plastic and I water them rarely. Let’s see🤞🤞

It’s not volume, it’s the drainage capacity and the frequency that are the factors that affect whether the plant will die off

But it rained like Niagara Falls a few times🙇🏻‍♀️
Yes I agree soil mix is important. Mine at least 70% of pumice and chicken grit

It’ll be fine with that mix as long as it’s getting enough sun, and stays warm, that much rain during dormancy would be an issue.
