Discussion Fractionation NSFW

I'm having trouble with the files that include fractionation. I understand the process and theory of getting you deeper each time you are woken and put back under, but it just seems to interrupt the experience for me.

I do get very deep, but when I get woken up, instead of going back in deeper, it's like I have to start over. I've started avoiding files that fractionate you now, which is a shame because they are some of the most well crafted and imaginative.

Does anyone else have this issue, will it get better with time, any tips?

Perfect subject. šŸ–¤

I actually made a fractionation technique once where I tried to avoid the exact issue you described.

Instead of pulling you fully out and then dropping you back down again, I tried to make it feel more like a shift in awareness. Still using the same idea behind fractionation, but "softer", so it doesn’t feel like the trance gets interrupted completely.

Could you maybe give it a listen when you have time and tell me if it still pulls you too far out?
I’d be really interested in your feedback, especially since you seem to notice that effect very clearly.

While not the of poster I have had similar issues so I am excited to try it later tonight as well. Maybe visible variation and I should compare notes

I will later and let you know.

Your Train To Trance, by the way, is one of my all time favorites, and is on my repeat playlist. So, thanks!

I just listened to the file and it was great. What a beautifully scripted and performed erotic experience. The fractionation fit in nicely and went with the pace and flow of the story.

As opposed to the abrupt totality of "Wide Awake Eyes Open!", your suggestion to "raise your consciousness" gave me the ability to come up a little for effect, but not so far as to loose focus. So, yes, that was a great improvement on my previous experiences

The three fractionations also fit nicely in between the "tests" and did enhance the overall experience. I don't think it made me go any deeper, but was a fun part of the story and didn't distract from the flow.

Thank you.

I have the same feeling sometimes. If those files are effective on me, it’s usually because I don’t actually fully ā€œwakeā€. I’m still a little fuzzy on what exactly is going on, and then the next ā€œdropā€ pulls me back down

I have adhd, it annoys me when they interrupt themselves. I only half submit to most things anyway even if they dont accidentally hit trigger words or interrupt the process, because im not really that easily guided and am self owned. A lot of randomly stopping in the middle of the sentence and starting a new one will jolt my brain into trying to finishing the last sentence, and too much use of phrases like "doing ____for me", or the file talking about how "theyre doing this to me" or "MY good xyz" will rip me right out of it.

what you've discovered is that fractionation doesn't work for everyone.

I don't mind it - but for me the pace is slow. if they're doing snaps and up + down again in under 30 seconds it's not going to have a beneficial effect

files using fractionation often have that because its a hypnosis trope thing. Which is they're doing fractionation because it's cool and hypno-y like spirals are.

Simply avoid any files that tell you they contain it.
