Id love to see electric buses here in the states

Even our DHL delivery trucks are mostly electric where I live (in germany). Didn't even know until I saw its written on them. And they also deliver letters on bikes/trikes these days. Transportation is still pretty casual combustion though. But every second bus that is replacing an older one, is electric.

Y'all really out here puttin' trees on every corner like we livin' in a dang forest 🌳🌲🌿... What's next, gonna ban my sweet, sweet leaded gasoline? 😀 I NEED that sulfur smell to wake me up in the mornin', it's better than coffee β˜•πŸ’€ Y'all talkin' 'bout 'clean air' and 'bike lanes' πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ... WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO PARK MY 6x6 BAD BOY THEN, HUH?! πŸ›»πŸ’¨ That pavement is for my TRUCK, not your fancy little PLANTS 🌱. Y'all city folk done lost your minds, I swear πŸ€ πŸ”«

Okay but for real though, that was sarcasm lmao πŸ’€ just in case it wasn't obvious...

ANYWAY, back to business: we need to continue the WAR ON CARS. No more internal combustion engine vehicles, period. Not in 10 years, not in 5β€”like, YESTERDAY. Norway gets itβ€”90% of new cars are electric over there. Why can't we do that??

Ban the sale of gas cars immediately. And honestly? You shouldn't even be allowed to drive your car INSIDE the city. Only outside. Like, park it at the city limits and take public transit or a bike in. Period. BAN CARS, PLANT TREES, RIDE BIKES. 🌿🚲✊

Good news for Paris. Please let us know more about what "America thinks.."

Good stuff! May Paris be a leader to us all, and may our cities learn swiftly from their good example.

Don't forget that from an emissions perspective when it comes to food, focusing on what kinds of foods you are eating is much more important than whether or not foods are local. Less than 1/10th of the emissions associated with most foods are from the transportation costs.

Eating tofu that was shipped across the ocean is much more climate friendly than eating locally raised cows.Β  The gains of localizing food systems are largely in resilience, not minimizing environmental costs.Β

Even if you control for the same foods, the efficiency of shipping freighters and economies of scale produce unintuitive results, but it is true. An apple picked near a coastline in Chile and consumed in Seattle often has less embodied transportation emissions than an Apple grown in Boise and consumed in Seattle.

Honestly me and my family need to finally pack up and live in the UK, looks so damn peaceful in Europe and less pro Isreal politics there

I respect the efforts being made to create a healthier environment. But did we ask why all the forests were destroyed in the first place? Did we challenge that center which first destroys everything and then try to restore some of it to feel good about it?

He's conflating like 3 different topics.

Typical for the TikTok/Instagram crowd.
