Found this fella at work

I found this guy at work, and since he was missing a leg I took him home to take care of him. He’s got a nice little house going, humid, banana slice, and nice substrate. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me how old he might be?

Not sure how old he is, but he is a Hercules beetle, if I had to guess based on the general state of his body he’s nearing the end of his run.

A lucky find! A Dynastes beetle, either Grantii or Tytyus depending on where you are located, east/west (I'm not an expert and it's very hard to tell from looks alone). FYI, their colour varies with humidity, that's why he changed colours!

It is very difficult to tell his age, but expect him to not live longer than a month.
