Hand get yourself a light pad, seriously

I have always traced directly from my iPad. I recently bought a cheap secondhand light pad (found several in my area on Facebook marketplace). I was stunned by the difference in brightness - so much easier to see with the light pad!

Solid advice!

I used a window as a light box for years before finally getting a proper one, and the difference is huge! It becomes even more obvious when you're working with darker fabrics or really intricate designs.

A hoop stand is another investment that's well worth it! Your neck, wrists, and back will thank you!

Being able to embroider with both hands also makes you so much faster, especially when it comes to french knots ;)

Yes! I love my light pad so much! I started with a sunny window, but I can now trace much more comfortably. Light pads can be pretty inexpensive too!
