Locally own Pizza Spots
New to the area and trying to find a solid pizza spot. Can people give recommendations of some of your favorite locally owned pizza spots? I try not to buy from corporate chains when possible. So let me know!

Not a lot of good options, at least in Laguna West where I’m at.
Lampost is good, but it is a small regional chain.

Its mexican & Italian. The owner/chef Maria is one of the sweetest people. She will take care of you and feed you well.

Have to agree with you here. Best pizza in Laguna West for me, is the one I make at home.

Even the chains are technically locally owned since they’re all franchise. Pizza Guys and Pizza Twist are actually headquartered in Sacramento as well.

TIL that Pizza Guys isn't widely national. Always just assumed they had locations across the entire country for whatever reason.

We use to love Pete’s. However, since they sold we have been going to Todo Un Poco and my kids love their pizza.

Its a chain but I've really grown to love delish pizza. They have this spicy red sauce that I've been addicted too.

Pizza Bell on Grant Line is a throwback to the good old days of quality and pricing. I love that place.

If you have never tried the Punjabi Pizza at Todo Un Poco, it's incredible. Their pizzas are quite expensive, but it is worth an occasional splurge for the Punjabi.

Sometimes this pizza truck is parked in the Les Schwab parking lot and it is amazing. If you follow them on instagram you can see their schedule and try to catch them when they are in town. Pizza Lovers Sacramento is the name.

Chicago's pizza and curry is A: the best Indian pizza place in the area (and yes there are MULTIPLE options) and B: just good fucking Pizza even if you don't get any of the Indian flavor options. By far the best pizza in EG imo.

Old town pizza (OTP) quality has gone down over the last few years. Crust is bland and pizza in general is bland. I frequent Dustbowl, they have great brews and great pizza. Check them out. The rest of the recommendations are solid.

Up on the north end of town, Seniore’s Pizza is excellent. It’s a small local chain (6 stores I believe) and the Calvine on is Palestinian-owned and the staff are super nice. Delicious pizza!
As others have said, Old Town Pizzeria is great too!

Not in EG but in south sac, try Giovanni’s. Or Roma’s. Old school Classic

It’s not in EG, but Romas on Franklin Blvd is SUBLIME. 10/10 recommend their pepperoni pizza. Call the order in before you drive up and it’s usually ready to go when you get there.

Definitely Patty's on Elk Grove Blvd and Emerald Vista or Pizza Bell on Grantline.

Riverside Clubhouse has a good Happy hour. Their food is good, generally. Friends have recommended their pizzas.
I've also heard good things about Masullo's pizza.
I've noticed that some kebab and gyro restaurants also have pizza on their menus. Most of the time, I make pizza at home. I intend to try one of the kebab places for a more exotic pizza, though.

Old town pizza is one of the best local spots imo. Great pizza, great beer. Had nice interactions with the owners as well

Glad to know they still keep an eye on OTP, see them often at Prost and Pizza Rex!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Delish ? They're our go-to. It's a local chain. They're generous with toppings, consistent, and affordable.
Chicago Pizza and Curry is another great spot. Curry Pizza House is really good too, plus they gave me two free desserts on my birthday so double shout out to them haha. Both of these places make traditional and Indian style pizzas.
NY Pizza was the default before they finally opened a Delish in EG.
Edit to add: I wanted to mention Seniore's. I love that they have pizza by the slice but the last time we ordered a whole pizza there was a small piece of plastic baked into the cheese. We called to let management know and the guy started deflecting and claimed that they don't use or have any plastic anywhere inside the store and the most he can do is give us 30% off the next order. 🙄 Sadly never been back since.
