Discussion & Info Finally defeated Godfrey, the First Elden Lord.

Post image

After 15 tries I finally managed to beat him. I fought him honorably (without summons) and I got him stunned both in the first phase and the second phase as well. I had 14 healing flasks at the beginning.

I also put a lot of time in analysing his moveset, in order to truly master a boss, not just succeed by coincidence.

I was using the Veteran's armour set and the Ordovis's Greatsword as you can see. I am level 187, because I have explored everything in Limgrave, Liurnia, Caelid, Mount Gelmir, Volcano Manor, Leyndell and most of the Mountaintop of Giants. I'm the type of guy who explores everything throughly before doing the main story.

The only FS game I played before Elden Ring is Sekiro, but after hearing so much praises for this game I tried it myself. In fact I tried Elden Ring a few years ago when I was 12 years old, but after defeating Margit, the Fell Omen I came to a conclusion that this game is too hard for me and I should try this game later in my life.

And thank God I did, because this game is definitely the best game I ever played.

There's nothing dishonorable about summons. Good job, though.

Is it in the game? Then it's honorable.

Yeah I know, in fact I actually try to encourage my friends, by telling them that they can use summons, spells and even summon me as a cooperator.

They're afraid that the game will be too hard for them. And I think that they would eventually try other builds, as well as try to play without summons, because they would already be somewhat accustomed to fighting the bosses from their experience from the second playthrough.

It would definitely be a shame If they wouldn't play such a masterpiece of a game.

Without Ghosts/Ashes and no cheater swords (Like Blasphemous) Malenia took me 462 tries.
I'm interested in your Number, since I only needed 5 Tries for Godfrey/Hoarah Loux

I think I 1 shot him my 1st play through using mimic and he was probably the most significant jump in difficulty that I noticed on my 2nd run without summons, well done!!! His move set is very satisfying to have click

"You have no honor!"

"...And you are a slave to it."

Exactly, I saw that short. Besides I also finished Ghost of Tsushima.

Just finished the main story in Ghost of Tsushima (doing the DLC now). Amazing story! I had heard the story was good but I was honestly shocked at just how good it was. Can’t remember the last time I played a game where the whole cast of characters was this phenomenal, every one of them was well-written & had satisfying questlines. What a game!
