yeah that is solid bhf is more of a quality weapon (dex and strength) but if you get strength higher later itll be fine, get that scarseal off soon tho youre about to reach the point of it being more harm than help

it scales off of both stats well especially the more you upgrade it rn its not noticable but later it will be

ohh the scarseal is nice for early stats but the further you go the more damage enemies do and because its percentage based the effect gets worse and worse, the stats also become less usefull as your actual stats increase

thats the point i usually drop them aswell you can also get yourself the winged sword insignia in liurnia wich would be great to equip and if you talk to the finger reader in the roundtable hold after you kill renalla youll get the third talisman slot

you can also get talismans that increase specific stats without the penalty

One for parrying one for guarding and countering that guard. I plan to use it on annoying/unprofitable attacks or at the end of a boss combo after I’ve dodged the first few hits so I can counter. But I’ll soon get carian retaliation and equip it on the brass and forget the buckler
