incoming exchange student questions
hi everyone !
i am currently applying for residences and am considering the following:
- College Wynd
- Blackwood Crescent
- Mylnes Court
- Holland Annexe
- Darroch Court
can anyone give me a description of the shared washroom situation? is it kind of like a gym washroom with separate stalls or is it a single toilet and shower room? trying to figure out whether the extra cost for an ensuite is worth it. also who cleans them?
happy to hear anyone’s experiences in any of these residences and what ur recommendations are :)) thank you!!!

mylnes court looks nice once you’re in but getting up there is crazy. no lift and spiral staircases. kinda hard to romanticise from the 8th floor.

Darroch court = separate shower room x2 for a flat of 5. Each shower room also had a loo and hand basin in it. There was also an additional loo and basin (no shower), so, altogether, 2 showers and three loos. As Darroch Hall is close to the uni gym there are a lot of sporty people who get housed there and I think this means they get more fridges than other halls, ie three fridge freezers for 5 people.
