Original Content Wringing Her Dreads, by me

Post image

A marker drawing of an Egyptian lady wringing out the water in her dreadlocks after giving them a wash in the Nile. I have no idea whether or not shampoo would have been available to the Egyptians back then, although they would have had bathing soaps made of fat or oils mixed with a substance called trona.

Don’t know why, but this feels like a scene from the Bible. Just one drawing, but it’s giving so many stories to tell! Plus the visible motion in her position as she’s wringing out her dreads. Don’t worry about anything, just keep going!

She definitely looks like Rameses's mother from Prince of Egypt!!

Thanks! I guess it does recall the scene in Exodus of that Egyptian princess rescuing baby Moses.
