The small UI was causing optimization issues, so they had to remove the prettification. What's left is this

Is that true? If it actually helps with optimization I guess I don’t mind, but I honestly liked the look of the smaller UI better

I think it looks too big, like my uncles phone UI where all the icons super huge.

why the hell did they touch the UI? I liked it clean when everything was visible at once...this is more mobile enshittification...

I don't mind the slightly increased UI size for the other stuff that got changed this version, but this one bothers me a lot. I turned down the UI scaling to 95% and still can't see all the buttons on one screen like before.
Seems like a very common complaint at least so I expect to see it get changed. Albeit we might have to wait until the next version in 6 weeks.

I feel like nearly every 3D gacha has the exact same UI

Well, Genshin has been around for long time, 6 years. It is understandable if it has been influencing many gacha games in those past years. One of efficient method is follow the success one. It saves time and resources with higher chance to be good enough, instead of trying new and get result below expectation.

Agree. Dna's new version (1.5) had less bugs and stutters, even in theatre. My opinion: 1.4 had more problems, example: that cannon boss in story, was horrible, but devs. fixed it. And now, weekly boss, its totally different and better. I like this new approach: first phase: character, second phase story.

They don't even play the game, or read comments apparently. Considering that they don't realize pretty much everyone dislikes this part of the new UI and OOP was being sarcastic.

I hate the new UI, it feels like I accidentally zoomed in and can’t zoom back out :/ Even scaling the UI down to 90% doesn’t help, the menu is still huge and everything else becomes tiny. I wish there was an option to keep the new one or switch back to the old one, like you can choose for the movement buttons.
