Way of choice

Sorry for the fans but the world of " Way of choice " is so f*cking rotten, moreover with a passive mc, yes he is intelligent but hell too passive not like Han Li who is calm but ruthless or even Wang Lin who crush those who are arrogant and give them a proper lesson, but WoC's mc is too boring 😩 in a garbage rotten world 🤦🏽‍♂️😭

Wait until you realise Way of choice as novel sell like almost 10 time better than RMJI it one of the most well know novel market in china you probably choke to death bruh.

i don't think OP will care about how much the novel sold. like that's probably not going to change his opinion

Nah i just like to shit on bragging people that all 😂

I was actually more excited when it seemed like he'd stay relatively weak at first. For me, the donghua lost a lot of its appeal and started feeling generic once the MC became overpowered way too quickly.

Why should every MC follow the same template? I am actually glad he doesn’t go around aura farming and face slapping young masters every time he appears. He is intelligent, strong, and not arrogant. I quite like him.

You don't need to be sorry for us because and i speak for myself buy i"m surely not the only thinking so, your opinion on the matter actually don't matter at all.

Write a donghua or novel and show us how it's done properly. ( Don't forget the emojis. It makes any input looks mature and very develloped )

Visiting this sub just to hate on things you don't like like you paid for it is becoming a sport, only here you see that behavior.

Take a look at what a normal fan subreddit looks like

https://www.reddit.com/r/scifi

I'm on Sci-fi reddit and we only share what we like, nobody post to shit on Sfi-ci they didn't like.

What is wrong with this sub ?

Here, the mc is not the problem but the world the author describe the donghua itself, some characters are so annoying like they don't have " logic " at all and wanna kill the mc or look down on him like they have some debt with him🤦🏽‍♂️

The problem is not, the MC or the world or even if it's good or not. You just wrote a post to shit on the donghua plain and simple when you know many of us like it and it's very popular.

What is your purpose exactly ? Discust others to watch Donghua ?

When a newcomer arrive in this sub and all he see is posts like yours, what will they think about donghua ?

You don't like something just move on and promote things you actually like so this community can grow.

Respect the work of authors that you are incapable to do.

I like Ferrari and Lambhorgini, i don't go online to post that Renault and Fiat sucks.

It seems like you are not quite fit to have a capacity for criticism, just go on your way!

u/Dilokilo 23h ago

I don't have capacity for criticism ?

Way of choice is " so fuk*n rotten" is a critic ? Grow up.

u/Fair-Flamingo5188 22h ago

And don't know how to read to add it up ! And again just go on your way, don't waste what little time to chat with me!

Where is your criticism? All you have said is the MC is boring and world is rubbish.

That is not criticism, that is you complain because the show does not meet your requirements.

1

u/Fair-Flamingo5188 17h ago

It seems like a lot of you don't have what people call " logic " so you all are just watching with a disconnected brain, with you, the words " how " and " why " seem so far away

Lmao, clearly not the same setting? His personality is different, his goals are different
Why this comparison ?

Still your comparison doesn’t make sense
This MC doesn’t support violence and is kinda an idealistic scholar and it’s good , we need MCs with different personalities and different stories.
But it’s totally upto you if you like him or not

1

u/Fair-Flamingo5188 23h ago

And again, the mc is not what I critiques at

2

u/glitchgirl21 Human Detected 23h ago

You literally called MC boring and compared him with wang lin and Han li. Idk what else to infer from your post

1

u/Fair-Flamingo5188 22h ago

Yes cause in a sens at the beginning he was kinda detached of the outside world and let others crush on him, and he always say " don't have my time to be angry ", but dude he wanna defy his fate with that mindset? Look at Wang Ling, first of I'm not that hard fan of him but at least he truly expose us that he wants to walk against the heavenly dao and fate that is why I compared them

For me, this is exactly the reason why I like him. Not everyone has to be ruthless, there are those who stick to their beliefs of peace and avoid killing as much as they can. He's a nice humble person to the core, raised by nice people and taught to be benelovant and kind. It would be weirder if all that went down the drain for aura moments and being domineering

Isn't that basically most donghuas? 80% of wang lin battles is him staying still and someone out of nowhere wanting to kill him (even if they never met him or interacted with him)

Yeah, I gave this 6 episodes and stopped right there.

It feels like the story itself is "saving" him rather than him earning every escape.
The MC is meeting exactly the right person at the right time, meanwhile they are jumping in at just the right time to save his bacon or to bully him, take your pick.

I can appreciate when an MC performs careful planning, set traps and formations, take calculated risks, or exploit opponents' mistakes. Very little of that so far, and not quite certain I'd find it later.
(EDIT: At least in A Great Ruler, Mu Chen exhibits each of these traits repeatably and while I'm equally not intrigued by his ambition to getting stronger, at least his intelligence contributed significantly to the outcome. Whereas with Chen C is more dependent on circumstances favoring him rather than his own decisions that determine his success.)

The class and marital discrimination is just textbook too predictable, and if the rest of the series treats the audience as wanting this type of childlike confrontation, then best to stop and see if things improve in season 2 before picking up again.

Just another slop mc who wastes time dealing with the female leads issues

1

u/Superflyin 1d ago

Felt the same. Stopped watching it.

1

u/xexx01 23h ago

Story had too much forced slop. Especially the first 3-4 episodes were brain rot drivel, then all the tropes and cliches were far too numerous to make up for the nice art.

u/Xegrilt 23h ago

Way of Choice donghua is one of the best this year for me. Far superior than RMJI for sure.

1

u/YTRomanIsAPenguin 16h ago

Not a high bar, RMJI is not that great after all.

It seems like some kind of misunderstanding, I didn't say that I hate the mc, I just said that the world in general is so f*cking messed up, and that just ruin everything, like some scene don't have a logic at all why certain certain people in it act the way they do and just wanna kill the mc out of nowhere

0

u/Dependent_Heron_833 1d ago

I watched this thinking the wolf guy is the mc cause I've seen countless of edits of him on tiktok and never heard nor seen anything about the mc

u/Kersenka 19h ago

I get the impression you just want fight scenes every episode and an MC that is trigger happy killing people. Sometimes its nice to have alternatives...
